I don't know if this is a logical fallacy or just bad rhetorical technique ("bullshit") but saying "he looked like" is so massively subjective it's meaningless. Except in that the intended result is to create distrust in the subject. The Rethugs do this kind of shit all the time.

I disagree. They either know what's going on and mischaracterize Dems reaction on purpose to support their point, or they just don't think very hard about the reaction. I've dealt with enough 5th graders to see how this works. It's all about achieving and holding on to power, or winning the argument, or both.

He never looks anything. He never says anything. Is he doing anything? Asking for a country.

You are onto something. I met Trump back in 1968 and studied him very closely over five months. What was striking about him was that he could NOT read human affect at all! It was stunning. He has no sixth sense and he has no self-awareness whatsoever. It gave me the willies. I believe he is on some kind of spectrum whether it is a physical birth defect or sociopathic emotional damage from Mommy and Daddy Trump. The fact that this profoundly broken man ever became President of the United States has moved the entire discussion into the real of Metaphysics. It is just unbelievable that any of this profound ongoing five year nightmare ever happened.

I sincerely doubt that Merrick Garland ever looks "nervous and worried" under any circumstances whatsoever, except maybe at the dentist's office.
