Reagan is indeed the root of many of our current economic and political woes

The current crop of crazies are his direct descendants -each generation more hard core than the previous

Please, Reagan was just following in Nixon's footsteps. A crook who was willing to lie and cheat to hold onto power.

Not prosecuting Nixon was the biggest presidential mistake ever.

Reagan was scum.

He actually hated the ideals that America asserts that we aspire to.

Edit: I see Leeds fired Jesse Marsh. Sure, blame the American for the British incompetence.

Reagan and 1980s Republicans were equally as homophobic as todays GOO, if not more so, and their wars against pensions, unions, the environment, blacks people, us queers, the socila safety net, Medicare, social security, and liberalism were equally as grotesque & filled with crazy irrational demagoguery as todays bat shit crazy GOP.

The only real difference the old guard were much better playing the dog whistle than todays group, and there were a lot more Dems like Manchin in congress back then, that helped the GOP pass their draconian shit

Reagan was Trump before Trump he was just slightly more polite about it

Steele willingly leveraged the Tea Party movement so Republicans could shellack Democrats in 2010. Early that year, he said on Fox News, "As I like to tell people — long before there was this big push on tea parties — if I wasn’t doing this job, I’d be out there with the tea partiers."

These people think that they are just playing some game and if they win the game then it’s all fair. They are no different than Trump. I guarantee deep down Trump thinks of this all as a game he can win. The common denominator is that none of them actually care about the country. Steele only acts like he cares now because it’s convenient. Screw his mea culpas

The most horrific crimes against humanity have always been committed by the self-righteous.

Principled is not a word I would use to describe them.

The major difference between Trump & Reagan is that Reagan couched his dictatorial leanings in folksky, feely good, apple pie & Fourth of July bullshit. And he was too senile to wallow in the endless grievance that’s Trumps’ baby food. Otherwise, same goosestepping swine.

Whitewashing history so that we can readily repeat its mistake is the Republican platform

Ding ding.. Stop by the merch table for your free coffee mug. They realized that people would not drag them out to be executed for blatant treason.

Sure, Michael. If by “out there with” you mean “being lynched by.”

The Tea Party was less racially inclusive than MAGA, as hard as that is to fathom. But they didn’t have “Blacks for Trump” to strategically place for the cameras.

Yes. Nixon interfering with the Vietnam negotiations, Regan interfering with the Iran Hostage Crisis... Actual treason. People should have been shot.

Progression that arguably began with Goldwater's loss. FTFY.

He would have been perfectly safe. As long as he brought a Candygram.

Reagan's rise started earlier, when the Goldwater R's took over the Ca GQP prior to his campaign for governor.
