Try living high on the hog on $400 a week in NYC. That's the max you can get on unemployment, and it's about 1/2 of the average rent.

Yeah, it's not like those people at Jamestown had to rely on any help from others- no socialism for them!

Let them eat subsidies.

It sounded like (from the transcript) his wife kind of understands this, but she's still gonna vote Rmoney because .... actually this part was a bit unclear. Maybe habit, maybe the Prez is still black, maybe deferring to her idiot husband, (maybe fibbing?).

And that only starts on the second day. The first day is your contribution to society.

Sadly, there is a simple solution to the expense -- make the recipient pay for it.

Almost all Medicare recipients are SS recipients. The "full-retirement" age for me (born in 47) is only 66. And anyone on Medicare because of disability is also on SS disability.

Exactly, just like disability insurance, workmanship comp, Medicare and Soshecurity. Agricultural price supports, on the other hand, are pure welfare, Farmer Kniggah.

I am honored to not only pay taxes for milk subsidies, farmer Knigge, I am also delighted to pay for the artificially inflated price at the store. No offense though, I am more proud to pay to subsidize billionaire sugarcane farmers so they can pollute the Everglades, which I also enjoy paying to clean up.
