Remember when someone fainted a few feet away from Trump in the Oval Office during one of his praise-me sessions, and Trump ignored him?

Why didn't he just lay his hand on the guy's forehead and heal him with a blast of light?

Another warehouse fire has broken out this time in Compton, California. This is the 7th warehouse fire in the past week alone. 🔥

LoathsomeCowboy's avatar

Luigi and the guy who burnt down that warehouse are the canaries in the coal mine for the oligarch class. Not that they are paying attention.

Enter Ranting's avatar

I was nowhere near there.

Hope this person did not video it.

Apparently almost nobody wants to attend an event where JD Vance gropes Erika Kirk on-stage. Or, where Erika gropes JD. Whichever.

Greg Abbott hasn't yet said anything about a special election to fill Gonzalez's seat. He is not required to, this close to the General election, but he could. It'll be kinda interesting to see whether he does.

Y'see, Johnson could just barely hold onto his majority with Gonzalez's seat vacant. Just. He would lose it if a Democrat wins that seat.

And in the primary, there were more Democratic votes than Republican votes. And that was BEFORE this latest Trumpian parade of idiocy. Republican polling is doing even worse, now. Also, Texas 23rd is one of the dummymandered districts.

In other words, Abbott's decision about Texas 23 is an excellent bellwether about what top Republican pols think about what's gonna happen in November. Watch this space.

In other news, proud boys off the hook. The corruption continues.

If I were there and Erika and JD showed up I'd leave on general principles.

Sis still projects. I just told her that Catholics and Christians who back FOTUS seem to not really believe their teachings in the first place.

Christianity makes Mom's Downhome Country Cookin' Buffet look like a prison menu.

With over 50,000 denominations worldwide, they each don't just take one or two things and run with them. They take one or two things and run a thousand different ways.

They don't even need compartilization. They can fit TFG in 6 days a week and twice

on Sunday. I think it's a mental condition.

Goin Green's avatar

They don't even know their own teachings, how can you believe what you refuse to know. Religion is now nothing more than an emergency weapon in an argument with someone more intelligent than you.

I forgot that Swalwell ran for president. If he had won, we'd still have a rapist in the Oval Office.

Goin Green's avatar

Even though he hasn't been convicted of anything yet, is he still eligible for national Republican office?

I think the GOP should continue to tell the American people bombing brown people is more important than the cost of ground beef and gas.

Mitch McConnell wrote an op-ed for the Fox News website about why it was stupid for the Trumpies to get behind Orban. In his many (accurate) criticisms of Orban comes this doozy:

"illiberal court-packing"

Yes, you read that right. MITCH FUCKING McCONNELL, the man who single-handedly refused to let Obama even nominate a Supreme Court justice with more than a year left in his term, chides someone else for ILLIBERAL COURT-PACKING.

Jesus fucking Christ.

I know, I know: Every accusation is a confession, it's all projection, etc., etc. But YEESH. How the fuck is it even possible to be that self-unaware? Do these people NEVER listen to themselves?

Heartwarming gossip from The DB made me feel so old, but also cute, and happy for them, can totally see it:

Grease star Lorenzo Lamas, 68, and Melrose Place actress Heather Locklear, 64, are dating, a rep for Lamas confirmed to E! News. TMZ published photos of the couple taken during New Year’s at Barry’s Steakhouse in the Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas last week, revealing that the romance had been conducted in secret for months. They were said to have been “very touchy-feely with each other” during their night out. Sources told the media outlet that both Lamas and Locklear’s adult children were planning to spend time together that weekend. Locklear was previously married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, with whom she shares one daughter. The Falcon Crest star has been married six times and has had six children between three former partners. Locklear was most recently engaged to “high school sweetheart” Chris Heisser. The duo ended their engagement last spring after five years together.
