I, too, wish the opposing party would nominate someone I could vote for. Someone with brains and integrity and experience.
SEEEE?? Doesn't that make me sound like a petulant, whiny twat? The Democratic party doesn't exist to provide you with a palatable alternative to the dysfunctional doomsday cult your party has become. Fix your shit or better yet, admit the GOP has no room for sane people and switch parties.
Everyone--anti-Trump Republicans, Democratic Socialists, liberals, moderates, racial minorities, white suburbanites and white working class voters--are going to have to start drilling it into their heads now that while voting FOR someone would be nice, it almost doesn't matter who the Democrats nominate because the real choice is whether we want to roll the dice on four more years and hope this stable genius doesn't get us all killed. Voting against Trump is enough reason to turn out. It's all the reason you need. Sure, find some good in our nominee, but remember that even electing a tree sloth will be an improvement. And make sure any of your ornery friends do too.
I think if the shoe was on the other foot, and Democrats had a truly dangerously stupid and unfit president, and Republicans were offering one of their pre-Trump offerings, it would be no problem for me to suck it up and vote for them knowing that some policy losses are the price we pay for letting a madman take over our party. Republican Trump Skeptics need to decide--is Trump really as bad as you say he is? If so, you'll suck it up and vote for even Sanders if you have to.
Ms Bair isn't the first to have an epiphany that her party is fucked up, and she won't be the last, but Trump didn't just happen overnight. He is the logical conclusion to the southern strategy, and each and every time one of these dumbasses start whining about "OH MY! What has happened to my party?", I cannot help but envision Steve Urkle and his signature line, "Did I do that?"Hell yes, you did that. Own it FFS!
Whatever you do, stay scared, because the GOP is counting on you. Do you even context, drive-by quotist?
It'd be interesting (for a certain value of "interesting") to see your posting history, just to see how many places this identical copy-paste list gets copy-pasted.
Welp, have fun with your Civil Warring, weirdo paste-bot!
We need a Democrat who can persuade Mitch to cut Social Security.
Right? Sterling myself to vote for Biden if I must.
Well said.

He still doesn't.

nah, you are the ones distaining democracy by trying to tear our, not your, country apart by being hyper-partisan racist fuckheads
At some point there'll be a lot of hype about a "new" Republican Party. Gingrich, Cheney, Jeb... they'll all be there.

Protest voting for third parties is like "refusing" to go to the prom because the head cheerleader won't respond to your invite.
The EC had *ONE JOB* and they failed abysmally.
So many words, so little truth.
Bad news for the neverTrump Rs. The Democrats plan to nominate "A Democrat". They might have to suck it up and vote for "A Democrat."
You don't want to vote for Trump (again)? Then you will vote for who we pick, AND YOU WILL LIKE IT.
There are no other options.
