"I voted for the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. It had the desired effect of bringing capital back into this country, no corporate inversions, higher wages, lower unemployment, [and] better diversity in our work force."
And did anyone tell her to her face that’s horseshit?
Democrats come to the table with policies written up, ready to be debated and voted on.
Republicans come to the table with aspirational wish lists they guarantee will benefit all Americans enormously, someday, after policies have been developed that can be debated and voted on.
I'm glad to see that, in a radical change for the Democratic Party, we're not desperately trying to be whatever the Media wants us to be so they'll finally like us. Biden's taken his case directly to the American people and moving forward on those strong polling numbers, and the DNC is blowing its own horn like the billboards thanking Joe and the Dems for the covid relief bill and no thanking the Republicans in that state that voted against it.
I'm hoping this will pass. He's wallowing in a pretty heady atmosphere right now. Before 2020, the only thing anyone knew about Joe Manchin was that he was a Democratic Senator from West Virginia, which hardly has any Democratic anything.
Realistically, West Virginia alone needs at least $30 billion for repairs and it's one of the smaller states. Multiply by 200 and that probably is just repairs and maintenance, not upgrade and expansion!
Everyone forgets that the Republican economic plan in 2009 advocated allowing increased importation of venomous snakes! Al Franken was too busy with the vote counting to after the Republicans for that.

The difference between Democrats and Republicans?

OHJB. Whadya gonna do?
John Adams, one of the more abstemious Founders, drank a tankard of hard cider as part of his daily breakfast.

$30 billion might be barely enough to repair West Virginia's minimalist infrastructure.
Racism is a helluva drug.

There's room for Socialists (one in the Senate is sufficient).
Next week - it'll be huuuge and bigly.
After gumming up the works for four years, too, they will scream that the Biden administration "did nothing."
First they need to learn how to read.
Ta, Liz.
Biden is just continuing to vacuum around them when they won't pick up their feet.... He's not letting them gum up yet.
