It is DELIGHTFUL whenever one of these bozos figures out that Orange Julius Caesar doesn't GAF about anyone except Orange Julius Caesar. I live in Texas, so I give you the soon to be former Senator Cornyn as my local bozo example.

There hasn't been much violence, murder, and mayhem in Minnesota since we sent his stormtroopers running away with their tails between their legs.

Tafoya characterizing herself as a “pro-choice Republican” is the same kind of revisionism that the Feculent Faker usually employs:

[ from Maddowblog ]:

"...* In Minnesota’s closely watched U.S. Senate race, GOP nominee Michele Tafoya launched a new campaign ad this week in which she identified herself as “a pro-choice Republican” as evidence of her willingness to “stand up” to her party.

What the ad neglected to mention was that Tafoya celebrated the demise of Roe v. Wade. And just a few months ago, she appeared on a conservative podcast and said, “Here’s the deal. I’m in line with President Trump on this. So if people voted for President Trump and support him on this issue, then they should have no problem voting for me.” ]

Does she think Minnesotans have all fallen down the memory hole?

Michele Tafoya. What the hell does she not get about RethugliKKKlan police state policy? If you are brown, forget showing papers, first bus to the border for you. Does she think she can be white adjacent enough that they will leave her alone???

I am SO FUCKING SICK of brain-deads getting instant traction with voters just because they used to be on television.

You know how the shits keep throwing Hasan Piker, whoever the fuck he is, in Abdul El-Sayed's face? That needs to be done twice as hard to this Tafoya with Donald Trump, who is only the FUCKING PRESIDENT.

I recently took a landscaping job in the far west exurbs of the twin cities. I can't believe how many of my coworkers swallow all the fascist crap. I don't think I'll be working there in spring.

Well, we had a pro wrestler for a governor once. A football sideline "reporter" isn't much of a stretch. Also, a lot of right wingers call themselves independents, cuz they think they're free thinkers. They're not.

By now, Minnesotans should know better than to ever vote again for another Republican who spells ‘Michele’ with one ‘l.’

This is gutter racism coming from the mouth of the ostensible president of the United States and while that's nothing new, it turns my stomach that people (not everybody but some) are becoming inured to his behavior and that it barely surfaces as news.

"M"'s avatar

Can we also possibly argue that it was because only the directly harmed portions of the population got exorcised over his open racism in the first place -- when it has always been open, as long as he's been in the public eye and made that Forbes cover with his lies about net worth they didn't bother to fact-check (because White male privilege) that the whole thing even got this far in the first place

You argue correctly.

And also wish I didn't have to

But here we are until there's a collective will (global, not just U.S.-based, though we are one of the worst, with "trillionaires" literally juxtaposed to global poverty of children said "trillionaires" caused (if you wonder about the quotes, just think "stolen money", "stolen patents", and "illegal immigrant via deliberate deception", the latter thanks to Stuart Stephens, because here I was thinking ol' Elongated Muskrat just overstayed his visa)) to change it all into something better than this

Woodrow Wilson and Richard Nixon never made racist rants like that. At least not in public.

Not in public

Nixon did authorize that dump of drugs by the CIA into majority Black neighborhoods, though ...

"“I’m a pro-choice Republican,” Tafoya claims in her latest campaign ad, titled “Independent Voice,” which dropped over the weekend. “I’m not afraid to stand up to my party. She’s been open about her belief that women should have no choice in getting an abortion after 12 weeks, a much shorter window than the 24-week time frame that reproductive healthcare experts say is safe in most cases. Minnesota currently offers broad protections for women’s access to abortion care."

She *is* a pro-choice Republican. She believes that women should have the choice of electric chair, firing squad, or lethal injection for having an abortion.

I don't know when the verb "dropped" came to be the preferred verb to indicate publication or release of something to an audience. But I happen to despise this convention - it sounds fecal, like the 'dropping' of a fresh, steaming turd to go splat on the polished linoleum.

Now, in *this* specific case, it might be an apropos evocation. But still, yecchh.

Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood, was a Republican.

That's when Republicans believed it was not the government or church's business to interfere with anybody's personal health decisions.

She was a nurse. She was pro-*birth control* because she worked with young ladies, who kept on coming in with wounds from attempting abortions without a professional present.

The car thing is so weird. I guess they're not real Americans because they don't want to drive F-150s or monster trucks? Which of course are really only practical if you're transporting bales of hay or construction equipment. Maybe it would be OK if they drove Subarus. But who am I to expect logic from organge Hitler.

Kid 'n Nipple-Play's avatar

He's trying to say that they are fiscally responsible, able to save up enough for a down payment, and then monthly payments, on a luxury automobile. Real Americans live paycheck to paycheck, taking out payday loans in between and sinking further into debt. The damned Somalis refuse to integrate into our Real American system of financial enslavement.

I just read a story about the spike in people donating blood plasma over the past year.

Because nothing says Golden Age like people having to sell their fucking blood twice a week in order to eat and pay rent!

The plasma centers are expanding into the suburbs as the said Golden Age is reaching out to those areas.

Ta, Dok. How does Michele-one-L's experience as an NFL reporter qualify her for the Senate? It doesn't. And you're correct, Minnesotans should avoid one-L-Micheles forever and ever, world without end, amen.
