This is what happen when Party Discipline is enacted with an iron fist and vaccum brain. When the slightest deviation ofr orthodoxy (a constantly changing orthodoxy, at that) is cause for defenestration, you end up with a brittle, unreliable Party stucture, like Mao in the days of the Red Guards.
They will hold their power like wealthy peopl go bankrupt: Slowly, in fist and starts, then all at once, like in Hungary.

Then we turned out to vote en masse for Graham Platner who is a little too progressive and anti-AIPAC for Chuckie's comfort. Schumer is a schmuck. But so is Carville, every strategist who works for Third Way, Pollock, Gourevitch and Sosnick...and probably a few other centrist Dem talking heads who are way too comfortable advising Dems to step rightwards (and lose).
