Hurrah for all the constituents who are not afraid to come out and make the policitians look so uncomfortable that they cower in the face of criticism. Especially the Republican town halls. Face the music or get out of the way, worshippers of the orange god. You are throwing We the People to the wolves, and we are not going to take it like you sniveling, anti-USA Republicans. Rise Up.

The thing of it is, Evan, is that the repugnicans are projecting that the fix is in WRT the next voting cycle. I hope they are incorrect...otherwise, I adore your posts!

Stopping town halls will only protect them until the next election. Goodbye you cowardly representatives.

Wait--GOPers, you *cannot* "say them asking you questions is just like January 6"! Not unless you can't to encourage them, because Jan 6 is a GOOD THING now. Follow the plot!

My Congressman just did a tele-town hall on Wednesday. He's a Democrat.

They're all afraid of us.

What I dont get is what difference would it have made if there WERE Democrats who ‘came early and filled the seats’? I’m calling bullshit but even so, that’s like saying that he believes only Democrats are unhappy with what’s going on. How can he/they possibly thing that?

Also, why was that Halina (?) chick, the lawyer, so happy to speak to Andrew Tate? . She’s a ‘fan’!? What kind of world are we living in???

// or at least vet attendees to avoid scenes that become viral clips //

"I'm sorry, you can't come in."

"See my ID? See my address? Does the congressman represent people who live in that area?"

"Yes, but--"

"But nothing. He's my rep, I pay his salary and he answers to me as his constituent. Now get outta my way."

Also, too -- if you can't talk to your congresscritter because they're hiding all the time, well, PAB spent the last 5 years convincing his cult that violence was a legitimate way to respond to political developments you don't like. He might rethink that stance when it's Republican offices getting firebombed and shot at, because it's gonna be awfully hard to convince Cletus that the evil Dems are causing all his troubles when they're getting on TV every day saying, "Well, we'd love to do more, but Republicans hold all the power right now."

This is the time for Dem representatives from adjacent districts to hold town halls in GOP districts. Be an opposition party by providing an affirmative vision of a better America!

This one's got legs. Hey reps! Occupy Republican districts! The voters you win are truly your own! Plus it will fuck up redistricting as voter suppression! (It could, couldn't it?)

Democrats need to start holding townhalls-- any elected Democrat in a given district, and if there is no Democrat elected in a given district then LITERALLY ANY DEMOCRAT. Mayor from the neighboring town? Town hall with your neighbors. Planning to run (and yes CHALLENGE IN EVERY RACE no matter how red) town hall now, not when the campaign starts. (The perpetual campaign was a good Republican idea that we totally need to steal.)

So far we have, guess who, Bernie Sanders, doing this, the 83-year-old. The rest of the Dems, with a few exceptions, seem content to sit quietly in DC getting their paychecks.
