I dunno what world the Rs are living in, but it is not the one where people have to put food on the table and buy kids shoes. Sorry to repeat, but it is the news of the day.

Back before the OrangeRacist, I used to think the Rs didn't want to spend money on people because it exposed big problems. The more the money, the bigger the problem. Problems that traditional Republican orthodoxy and/or conservative dogma did not solve, and may have even helped create.

Now, I just think Republicans are just evil, rotten, bastards, and want to cause as much pain as possible. They have no doctrine or creed, other than grabbing power and what ever they can for themselves.

Failo Cruz said it best. They're gonna be eating lunch in a ugly, small room next year.

The problem is that House Dems have to be willing to let them shoot the hostages.

I doubt they have the balls.

Here in New Orleans, I personally know dozens of people who are going to be homeless because of this $600 stopping, no jobs to go back to, and the glacial pace set by the Senate. It's heart-breaking, and so discouraging. Online, conservatives assure me that they "know a guy" who bought a new car, a new grill, went on vacation (to where??) all due to the $600 per week in addition to our already-dazzling maximum of $247.

Yeah, they always know people. Usually they're black people. And "illegals" who are not only taking our jobs are also taking our unemployment.

You want a disincentive to work? Become a Republican Senator! They've had since May, and are just getting around to thinking about doing something.

It's a pity, for I used to like turtles. I know it isn't their fault but now I have this initial flash of hatred, which they did nothing to deserve.
