OK, ladies, you'd better be ready, because here comes the 743rd Republican effort to convince you that there's no "war on women" -- instead, there's a War For Women, and the GOP is totes going to win it because it knows what women REALLY care about. And what women really care about is not all that
I am a woman, a straight woman, and I too hate the shopping. I go into a store, I select what I need, I leave. I do not go on shopping expeditions with girlfriends, either. My mother-in-law used to do the shopping-trips-to-the-states thing with her daughter and the other two daughters-in-law- they never even asked me if I wanted to go because NOT MY THING.
She has a slightly rancid flavor, like poorly cooked mutton. Next time she <strike>goes</strike> sends her legislative assistant to do the shopping she might want to pick up a bottle of Worcestershire sauce or some seasoned salt.
The first time the GOP went for the wimmen's vote they cast Handsome, Blond Airhead Dan Quayle in the role of VP, because the wimmens shore do lurve a goodlooking man. The second time, they cast Sarah Palin, because she's a wimmen and the wimmens vote for wimmen, right?
So it's a sign of the evolving maturity of the GOP that this nice Cathy laydee is mentioning legislation at all. Heck, at this rate by the time we have a 70% female majority in Congress, 8 female SCOTUS justices, and a female president, VP, and cabinet, the GOP will be ready to discuss legislation that is actually of value to women.
See women iffin you make less you get to shop more. Its really simple to figure out say you need $400 worth of groceries and you only got $200 to spend so instead of spending $400 all in one trip you have to make 2 trips to the store, one this week and one next week. Aint it fun to shop so remember we really are helping you get your shopping on you just dont see it
Well this is the party whose leader back in 2001 said the best thing the nation could do during a major crisis was "just go shopping". So they are consistent there, somewhat.
No groceries, no sammiches :-(
The problem that mrs_p and I have with shopping is seeing all that stuff and being reminded that we cannot afford any of it.

Is that what the kids call it these days?
I don't really care -- she is rapidly elevating herself to willfully ignorant fuckstick status.

They would rather hand out Victorian Secret coupons.
...funny how 50% of our workforce is comprised of women but only 19% of congress are women!

There is no "war on women." Some of them just like it a little rough, amirite guys?

Maybe the Republicans could attract more women if they hand out some Victoria Secret coupons.
Ewwwww. Curse my vivid imagination.
