Well, that and make sure the slave states we're overrepresented in the election, but you have a good point. The "Talents for liw intrigue..." passage in Federalist 68 should be forever known as the Trump Clause.

I saw those signs scattered about various neighborhoods in Seattle last year. A wonderful sentiment being publicly expressed gave me a little hope that not all Americans are fearful bigots.
