We should be so lucky that the mass of evil and witless MAGAts will kill themselves off with their chasing after quacks and poisoning themselves. Picturing the racist troglodytes writhing in their final agony through their willful belief in ridiculous woo and enmity to science pleases me no end. If they don't hurry up and kill themselves I fear that our future will be Idiocracy without the "smartest man in the world" to leave the mass.

C'mon. I'm no Trumper but, are you so naive to believe that the FDA or USDA actually inspect all your food to make sure it's safe for you to eat? That's the fantasy NeoLiberals live in i suppose but, no. Big food corporations self regulate because killing your customers is bad business.

Is it really food if you can eat it without worrying about being infected with parasites?

Not much of a scientist (geology, actually) but Louis Pasteur is sort of a hero of mine.

White Middle class suburban mom's were already primed with the non-gmo, anything processed is bad, stuff. Some made it their whole identity. This kookery appeals to them.

It's weird that the extreme liberals used to be the anti-vax hippies. Now it's mainstream conservative Bible thumpers. Same thing happened with homeschooling.

In US America bad ideas circulate all through the population like so many noxious bacilli through the circulation. And we seem to be fresh out of white blood cells.

That's because the wellness mindset is fully compatible with the fundamental precepts of fascism. And it's not an accident that crunchiness is so closely associated with whiteness. It's simply a more polite way to advertise your alleged genetic superiority to claim "inherent" Health is a superpower of some sort.

I've never thought of it in that context, but it makes perfect sense. It seems to always fall back to being white supremacy.

Honestly, it's a metastasized case of oppositional defiant disorder. It's seatbelts and motorcycle helmets all over again.

If the FDA warned against dropping hairdryers in the water while you're in the bathtub . . .

"encourage the Right to manage any illnesses with a combination of at-home chelation kits, ivermectin, and phrenology. That seems like a fair compromise, no?"

Except the kids. They don't get to torture their kids with alt med horseshit.

Is Brain Worms Kennedy aware that Pharma already profits off of Ivermectin, chelation agents, hydroxychloroquine, and vitamins because the majority of vitamin makers are a separate arm of pharmaceutical companies? If MAGAts want to follow him off the pseudoscience cliff I'll be happy to point them in the right direction while I sit back and enjoy the evils of Big Pharma because that's who is keeping me alive.

Secretary Brain Worm does not bother much with facts or cause and effect, which are doubtless the result of corrupt, insidious human intelligence. Logical consistency troubles him not because he knows what he knows and you cannot budge him.

That Boar's Head plant was one microbe away from fatal listeria outbreak for years.

Why, you ask, wasn't something done before this? Because the Republican congresses have been cutting the USDA and FDA inspection budgets for a decade or so.

Counterpoint.

It seems more likely the environmentalism was inroads to the crunchy left. Those more inclined to woo and antivaxx nonsense to beging with.

They long ago overlapped with the antivaxx, anti regulation right. The right is more numerous and therefore has more money to give him and more people to pay attention and amplify him.

He just moved on to the bigger audience.
