Ta, Robyn. At first I read CyncHealth as CynicHealth. Bobby Brainworm needs impeachment, stat.

Marc Kennedy's avatar

Well done! Showing that this questionable concept is just to keep alive one of Bobby Brainworm’s harebrained schemes is crucial. This idiot has plagued us too long as it is. He too will disappear into the dustbin of history soon. Let’s hope we can mitigate the damage he’s done.

For the sake of Nebraska s, let’s hope the damage is t too severe

There's a six-degree separation between the connection to JFK Jr.'s brain worm and mother's milk.

Also, please please tell me that JFK Jr. is in no way shape or form connected to Kevin Bacon.

gene108's avatar

JFK, Jr. died in a plane crash in the 1990’s.

This asshole running around croaking he has the authority to violate the law because "this causes autism!" is getting very old. Same as the WH constantly yelling "the fraud" as the reason to wreck the government.

OT: I need to pay my auto loan. And for some fucking reason, the fly by nite ass finance company I got saddled with, despite me signed into my account, that I have used every time to make a payment, CAN'T FIND MY FUCKING LOAN.

David Maceira's avatar

No loan. No payment. No problem.

Their customer service center isn't open on Saturdays, so fuck it, I guess...

Have they checked down the back of the sofa?

They sold the loan. You might get something in the mail, that something will look like an ad.

Biff52 Lost Canadian's avatar

I know that shit happens with mortgages, but car loans. too?

I had a new mortgage that got sold three times before I made my first monthly payment. It landed with Countrywide eventually, and I did a refi before they went belly up.

Apollyon Danish's avatar

That’s how real scientists do it, right? Come up with a conclusion and then search for evidence to support it?

David Maceira's avatar

This explains why conspiracy theorists have skater's legs.

Worked out so well for the Iraq War.

And the Iran war.

With all their concerns about yellow cake, I’m surprised we didn’t bomb Costco bakeries.

David Maceira's avatar

Or a Hostess Twinkie bakery.

Only because Colin Powell thought that might be going a step too far.

Am I the only one who misread the name of that company as CynicHealth?

No, same here.

I actually can look up vaccine records of people in about 12 states because i am a vaccinator but you are breaking federal law if you look up non patients. But was it super tempting to look up some prominent antivaxxer politicians and see if they were actually vaccinated? Yes, yes it was.

VaselineHabits's avatar

I wonder if certain accounts are flagged with access. Like when I worked at AMEX 20+ years ago, you couldn't just look up celebrities or famous people on their database unless you could confirm a call.

And ALL "Celebrity" (VIP) calls were heavily monitored

Snarfyguy's avatar

A few years ago, we were summoned down to D.C. and plopped in a conference room to audit Wells Fargo's account malfeasance.

In a crash course, they taught us to use all the banks' internal systems to look at accountholders' info.

Well, someone accessed Britney Spears' account info and shared it and was instantly terminated.

Trux Mint In Box's avatar

I think they would have to request it be removed. And I doubt most people know it exists but almost every state has one. They go back about 30 years on people. And COVID specifically had very strict rules about being entered. If your MD office, hospital or local pharmacy like Kroger or CVS gives you a shot then it’s in there.

CzechJournalists's avatar

oh, just have ai do it. you know it wants to.

BillEGoatSmile's avatar

That temptation would be...painful to resist!

Trux Mint In Box's avatar

Especially on the ones that really played up the COVID vax will kill you card.

It may not be a band name but Surfeit of Lampreys is surely the name of a King Crimson album.

Snarfyguy's avatar

One of those weird ones between the original line-up and the Bruford/Wetton era.

"A Surfeit of Lampreys" is a novel by Ngaio Marsh that begins with the discovery of the body of Lord Wutherford, with a meat skewer through the eye. The story follows the Lampreys, a group of eccentric characters who entertain their guests with double and triple charades. The novel is known for its clever puzzles and intricate plot, making it a classic in the detective genre. Marsh, who was also a talented actress and producer, revived the New Zealand public's interest in theatre with her work. The novel is praised for its brilliant readability and the rich variety of characters it features.

SkeptiKC's avatar

It sickens, enrages and scares the living hell out of me that this reprobate regime rejects patient confidentiality so arrogantly. They truly believe themseves utterly and absolutely entitled to our deepest, darkest medical/psychiatric secrets.

Of course they are. They're literally subpoenaing our records.

I had to check Massachusetts law just to make sure mine were destroyed by now.

Queen Méabh's avatar

My guess is they are already doing it.

Like Rebecca said before, you just never know.

Dear Everyone --

as this ^^ piece proves yet again -- these guys are modern-day pirates and wanna-be pirates

And this is just one more example of their apartheid “let’s kill all the Black people and take all their resources” stance that Elon, Donald, et al have (and that DOGE implemented on their behalf with an “oops, we looted that part of USAID *THAT NO DEMOCRAT EVER BOTHERED TO LOOK INTO AND RESTORE) promoted and relied on to steal everything from everyone except themselves and their cronies

CONGOLESE ARE DYING BY THE MILLIONS AND MEANWHILE THEIR MINERALS ARE BEING LOOTED

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/kPOrymezDf0

I’m sure there are some here who are tired of me going on about this, but there’s a reason not only am I not letting it go – but Wajahat Ali is now interviewing the guys from the Election Truth Alliance (who are continuing their work despite job loss threats and death threats … which to any pro-democracy activist type person is usually a signal they’re really close to discovering something TPTB *do not want them to find out*)

“Did Musk and Trump Rig the 2024 Election?” – YES, OF COURSE THEY DID

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJSOUyaJeV4

PLEASE everyone – especially if you are in a Democrat led state with a blue trifecta of Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General (which was why this was not done in PA – the AG is a Republican – or GA, where all three of those officers are also Republicans even though courts there FOUND AND DOCUMENTED ELON MUSK’S ELECTORAL INTERFERENCE) – PLEASE call those offices as constituents and HAVE THEM DO THE INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE WHEREABOUTS OF ELON AND THE DOGE BROTHERS DURING EARLY NOVEMBER 2024.

That means YOU, AZ, NC, NV, MI, and WI

We KNOW they interfered. We KNOW they cheated.

And we also know the so-called standards of evidence and justice in this country are rigged against consequences for rich White men and their minions.

As a matter of strategy – the honest stewards of democracy DO NOT have to be defending against their lawsuits of stupidity and their snatching ballots all the time, which they do with the express purpose of WEAKENING US elections and creating pretexts for stealing the 2026 midterms

(People *have* noticed they’re trying that already, yes? Right? In California where they literally have no business being and Donald’s tactic is to try to tune the nation’s tempo to his untreated ADHD and bullying temperament instead of let the elections proceed at the pace they have proceeded at in continuity for decades prior to *him* showing up??)

In order to stop exhausting resources doing all that, said honest stewards of democracy HAVE TO GO ON OFFENSE.

And you don’t even have to believe me! Professor Timothy Snyder – you remember him – he’s the guy who wrote “On Tyranny” and “On Freedom” said exactly the same thing when he was touring Los Angeles and Minneapolis with Rachel!

The apathy will literally leave democracy and the country circling the drain if we don’t ditch the “Let Somebody Else Do It / Bystander Syndrome”, everyone

Thank you for your attention to this matter ;-)

noname's avatar

YES, thank you so much for all this. GO ON OFFENSE!

BillEGoatSmile's avatar

I know there are exceptions in HIPAA that allow access to people's PHI (I know cuz' I used to subpoena records in the context of civil litigation all the time), but surely there must be provisions within the HIPAA law that would say, OH, FUCK NO to this momumental government overreach.

Anyhow, guess it's time for yet another round of Dem AGs suing this maladministration.

Pauly2coffees's avatar

Guess who’s responsible for enforcing HIPAA?

"M"'s avatar

No less than Timothy Snyder has already intimated that Dem-led states could do a lot less "suing on defense" if they located the backbone to go ahead and "sue on offense"

They've gotten injunctions and/or TROs on plenty of things. Stop this shit in its tracks and drag it out in the lower courts for as long as possible.

VaselineHabits's avatar

I think everyone is concerned with SCOTUS. Like we know they're going to try to get certain cases sent to SCOTUS to rule in their favor. Fucking terrifying
