What needs to be understood is that infant vaccinations are a PUBLIC HEALTH decision. Sure, if you are medically literate, have enough money and access to healthcare, and are the sort of person who is really on task- it will likely be ok if you space out your kid's vaccines...but, MOST PEOPLE ARE NOT LIKE THAT. Lots of people only have health coverage for a short period during and after their baby is born. Lots of people have trouble remembering/ getting to/taking time off for medical appointments. Most people are not medically literate. Many people do NOT have continuity of care- meaning someone keeping track of their healthcare needs. THAT'S WHY it was decided to do those shots early.
Ta, Robyn. Next month I'll get my new-and-improved COVID vaccine and a flu shot. I'm immune to shingles (because chickenpox titers are 1,111), measles, rubella, and mumps, having had all of them. Our polio vaccine wasn't a shot, it was served to us on a sugar cube, which could be one reason so many of us turned out to be acid heads.
One of my Father's siblings died of Scarlet Fever in the 1920s One of my Mother's siblings died of measles in the 1930s I nearly died of Pnemonia in 1958 All pre vaccine. Since the widespread introduction of vaccines in the 1960s no other deaths or near deaths in my extended family. Anecdotal evidence? Guess that is what Bobby would say.
Without the CDC reccommendation, prepare to see insurance carriers stop paying for vaccinations. Let's help make Bobby's vision of a "vaccine free" QAmerica a reality
I've seen reports (sorry I don't have them off-hand) saying that insurers may indeed continue paying for the vaccinations, for the very selfish reason that if they pay a tiny amount now for the shots, it saves them a fuckton of money later when the non-vaxxed person presents at the ER in dire need of care.
They often don’t think like that. They’ll decline a $700 cancer diagnostic, knowing that it could end up costing them 100K for futile treatments a year from now. They look at raw numbers Paying for 50 million vaccines no doubt costs nore than treating 50 thousand Covid cases with maybe 10% requiring hospitalization. Creating good will does not enter into the equation. They’ll still be able to sell crappy policies at a good profit.. WE own an independent agnecy and have been talking to high level execs about designing prevention focused policies for some time with not a whole lot of interest. They’d rather gamble on people never needing care than paying up front to prevent the need,
Too true. Most of the high level people I've run into would fit right in the Trump cabinet. Opinionated, condescending, and certain they are well worth the ridiculous salaries they get. There are some exceptions, but far too few.
Up next: We will have Karoline Leavitt busting out the super-big cross before she gets behind the podium to rage that reporting child deaths from preventable diseases will be considered a hostile act against the administration
Last I checked HBV, measles, chickenpox and Covid doesn’t give a green goddamn about your political affiliation. ALL children are targets. RWNJ kids WILL die if these diseases adversely afflict them. Your politics be damned.
Same for ectopic pregnancies. But then that’s a whole ‘nother subject.
Why would we want babies immunized against Hep B if they're not at risk?

here's my hot take: instead of making you pay for one vaccine in the worlds most insanely expensive healthcare market, they're making you pay for two

Get medical information from lawyers, politicians, podcasters and personalities rather than doctors and scientists? Brilliant!!

Still wondering why Joe Rogan wasn’t offered a cabinet position.
Failed the taint licking test?
I'd like to see Michigan join Illinois in a Great Lakes Health Alliance, though sadly Indiana and Ohio won't join.
NO vaccines for anybody, and everybody gets a gun!! MAGA!!

I hope that is true. It sounds logical but just because they work in insurance doesn't mean they are smart or logical.

Just do the opposite of what these people suggest and you'll be fine.

Pa and NJ will also be issuing vax recommendations
It's pretty simple why they do this: These people get off on dead babies.
