When I was an adolescent, I craved a Cobra even more than I craved sex. And that's saying something.

You have to blow up the fundamental lie of conservatism and repeat the alternative over and over.

Wrong. Two senate seats and one presudential election in 30 years do not make GA "blue."All statewide offices and both houses of the Lege are Republican.Until the lege goes blue, the state is red. Even in that case, it would only be purple.

They need someone who does not have to give up a House seat to do so.

I'm a realist w/over 50 years of political activist experience, and I live in a genuinely blue state, Oregon, where all 5 statwide offices, governor, both senators, 4 out of 5 cong dist seats, and a supermajority of both houses of the Lege are all Dem.That's not to say that I don't believe that GA won't progress. But, it's hardly "blue", by political measure.

I'll bet somewhere out there a Republican straight is trying to figure out how to get Marj eligible to run.

I live in Atlanta but grew up in Alabama.

There's no doubt Alabama's reputation has been stained forever by racism led by George Wallace and many others.

However, the reason a Republican will end up winning that seat won't be about White racism it will be because the Alabama Democratic Party has a Black racism problem.

The Black Caucus controls the Alabama Democratic Party and won't support White candidates to run for office. They won't support Whites as county coordinators voting them down in meetings.

The Democratic National Committee purged the Alabama Democratic Party's Chairman, a White woman, who was and had been aligned with leaders of the Black Caucus for years replacing her with a young Black male Chairman who believed in acting to expand party diversity. So far he's been unsuccessful.

Georgia's Democratic Party had a similar problem a few years ago but Stacey Abrams and others began rebuilding the party sharing power with Blacks, Whites, Asians and Hispanics. We see what that diversity has been able to accomplish and I expect that to continue and expand until Georgia truly is blue.

True story: the Communist Party of the USA was told in the 30s that they could sweep the South, if and only if they became a whites-only organisation.
