At a recent gathering of masochists who like the hurts-so-good feeling of listening to words trip and stumble out of the Texas governor's mouth like they're on painkillers at a Republican presidential primary debate, Rick did some word-stumblin' about the heinous abortion restrictions he signed into law in 2013. You know, those restrictions he emergency sessioned the legislature back to work for --
OT, but abortion related. I was listening to a report about abortion laws in Costa Rica yesterday. Holy shit, are those people fucked up. So, I guess the good news is that reproductive rights aren't nearly fucked up here as they are in Costa Rica. The bad news, of course, is that there are too many people who would like to make the US as fucked up as Costa Rica. Rick? I'm lookin' at you.
So, the solution to clinics not being as qualified as hospitals for some kinds of complex procedures is ... to have fewer clinics. Makes perfect sense to me.
This is an excellent principle to apply to the Texas legislature. Go for it, Rick!
Also too, the clinic Joan Rivers went to was <em>already regulated as an ambulatory surgical center</em>, because that&#039;s exactly what it is.
