'Mandalorian' Actress 'Fired For Being Conservative', And We're Sure That Is The Entire Story!
Gina Carano compared Republicans to Jewish people in Nazi Germany on Instagram.
It's that time again! Time for Republicans to totally forget that they are the ones who support at-will employment in order to cry and cry about how some jackass was "fired" for saying something ignorant.
Last night, it was announced that actress Gina Carano would not be appearing in the third season of "The Mandalorian" on Disney+ following the latest in a series of offensive posts on social media — in this case, an Instagram post in which she compared Republicans to Jews during the Holocaust (did someone send out a memo?) .

She wrote:
Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors … even by children.
"Because history is edited, most people today don't realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them simply for being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views?"
Super different! Because being a Nazi was also "a political view," as was being anti-Semitic. Duh. I think it's pretty okay to hate people for being Nazis, don't you?
Also — literally everyone knows that it wasn't just "Nazi soldiers" who were anti-Semitic. Well, anyone who half paid attention in history class or watched literally any movie ever about the Holocaust or who has walked around living and breathing in this world for a decade or perhaps less.
Although people have been referring to Carano's departure as a "firing," she wasn't so much fired as not hired for the third season of "The Mandalorian," which she had not yet been signed onto.
"Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future," a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement. "Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable."
Carano has also been dropped as a client by [United Talent Agency], an agency spokesperson confirms.
On Wednesday, the hashtag #FireGinaCarano was trending following an Instagram post from the outspoken conservative actor and former mixed martial artist that was met with severe backlash. The post has since been deleted, but screenshots were widely shared by users on social media who called for her firing from the hit Disney+ Star Wars show.
This is not the first time Carano, who played former Rebel Alliance soldier Cara Dune on The Mandalorian , has been the focus of social media ire for her political comments. Last November, she issued contentious tweets, one in which she mocked mask-wearing amid the novel coronavirus pandemic and another in which she falsely suggested voter fraud occurred during the 2020 presidential election.
"They have been looking for a reason to fire her for two months, and today was the final straw," a source with knowledge of Lucasfilm's thinking tells THR.
Naturally, the right has been in an uproar, crying about how unfair this all is, and how poor Gina Carano was fired from "The Mandalorian" just for being a conservative. They then started getting #CancelDisneyPlus to trend, because of how they didn't like Disney+'s political views.
Gina Carano was fired for being conservative.

You may recall that conservative Parkland student Kyle Kashuv was denied admission to Harvard for his political views. "Political views" like "kill all the fucking Jews."
Noted rape advocate Mike Cernovich said that this is all proof that we want to put conservatives in gulags. Probably gulags like the ones the Trump-supporting QAnon people wanted to put everyone they didn't like in (prior to our military tribunals and executions, of course).

The blacklisting of Gina Carano is proof that the left views anyone who dissents as people who must be destroyed. They hate you. Don't live in denial or pretend otherwise. Stop trying to be friends or debate them. They want you in gulags. Get your mind in the fucking game!
To be clear, Carano wasn't "dissenting" against anything. She was saying patently offensive things and spreading lies. If it is not possible for the Right to "dissent" without doing that, things are going to be pretty tough for them in life. Also, the entire reason people "hate" Republicans is specifically because they are hateful people who say hateful things. That is the whole reason! They expect people to "tolerate their intolerance," and that is just never going to happen, because it makes no goddamn sense.
Others tried to suggest that liberals were hypocrites for having compared Hitler to Trump, just because he did many things far more similar to what Hitler did and how Hitler behaved than just "hating people for their political views." Although to be clear, he also hated people for their political views.
Ben Shapiro suggested that it was, perhaps, even hypocritical of Disney+ to fire Carano for her Instagram post when her co-star Pedro Pascal had previously compared Trump putting children in cages to Hitler putting children in cages. Which apparently is the same as claiming that because Nazis hated Jewish people, hating anyone for literally any reason — including those people hating you — is just like being a Hitler-supporting German beating people up in the street for being Jewish.
First of all, again, Carano wasn't "fired." Second, even if she were fired, Republicans really need to shut their mouths when it comes to being mad about people being fired, unless they want to stop supporting at-will employment. If you believe an employer should be able to fire people for "no reason" then you do not get to complain when this bites you in the ass. Some on the Right have argued that political beliefs — like their gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation — should be a protected class and therefore not a thing you can fire anyone over. That is a very stupid argument, given that literally anything can be a political view and so making that a protected class would therefore mean that nothing else could be. Additionally, even if it were a protected class, that would not actually give them a free pass on bad behavior. If it is someone's sincerely held religious belief that women should not be allowed to work, they can't actually be shitty to the women they work with or refuse to hire women.
Even if political views were a protected class, it would still not be okay for someone to go on social media and insinuate that liberals are literal Nazis for not liking Republicans based on their political views or saying terrible things. Because that makes their employer look bad — and that can actually be grounds for a "just cause" termination, particularly if it is part of someone's job to represent that company positively. Most people in this country are not really allowed to go on public social media, identifying themselves as an employee of whatever company they work for, and then say a bunch of really offensive things that could lead to a boycott of said company. Heck, there are people who have jobs where they actually cannot publicly say anything political at all online, either way.
All of this is to say, they have no case, they know they have no case, and it is always helpful to remind them, when they pull this shit, that as long as they support the idea of employers being able to fire people for "any reason or no reason at all," they don't get to complain when it happens to them or one of their own.

Really-- you don't think there's any coherence to their positions, I hope. These guys have got to be ready to take any position at any time and at this moment, if you can shape someone into a piteous 'cancel culture' victim you just have to go for it. Liberals are so mild, how are you going to turn them into "totalitarians" except by using their sensitivity towards the feelings of others? That is what they've done. So tired of these empty mopes. Because they really are empty. If there's something inside them, I don't know what it is.
Sounds awful.
