We had some mice that found a way into our house and they set up residence in our basement ceiling. I found their entry point and blocked it (silicon and steel wool) while using live traps to gather them up. They must have hungry cause they all went in the trap one by one. I let them loose in the wild. Probably made a dinner for hawks but you can't live in our house unless you pay rent.

Netflix is proving to be as crappy as the traditional networks when it comes to cancelling really good, thoughtful shows, and keeping the lowbrow crap. Not in all cases, but seriously, Netflix? Cancelling Kaos?
Watching this show sent me to look up some of the old myths. Particularly interesting was how the stories of Orpheus changed through the ages.

When my father's dementia reached the point where I couldn't look after him anymore AND work full time, I had to put him in a nursing home. After the nursing home got every single penny that my parents saved for 40 years, I had to apply for Medicaid to cover the nursing home cost. Medicaid was paying the nursing home $5000+ a month to look after him, when frankly I would have been deliriously happy to get $3000 a month and look after him at home, because he wasn't any trouble, and I could have spent more quality time with him, and I could look after him better.
Also, in the spirit of clarity, I want to specify that I was not wearing a Cartier watch when I put the towels in the dryer and put wood on the coals in the stove. However, I had best get my arse into something, and give myself a few extra minutes on the road, because the first few days of snow everybody drives stupid. Here we go.

Daughter is having this issue in her RV in Santa Fe. Going out next week to help. AND to refit skirting for the Winter.
She moved there last year exactly to live her dream. Living in RV while the house/structure is being remodeled.
I sit here, anxious often, that Daughter will "hang in there" through this process.
I'd like to trap/release but at this point I'm gonna be a mice warrior so that I don't have to worry about Daughter losing hope in "living her dream".
