It freaks me out how wonderful and magic nature is.

Also, Martini, you're so beautiful!

Aww! You are too sweet! Thank you!

Those squarish little fishes

That look a lot like dice

May be quite delicious

As well as looking nice

But I would eat one never

No matter what the price

The poisonous little bastard

Would likely kill me twice

TootsStansbury 🇺🇦's avatar

OMG, adorable little thing. I’ve seen or even heard of one and have watched Mr S surf fish plenty of times.

ETA, I missed the deadly poison bit so just as well I’ve never seen one. “What on earth is that on your hook? (the weirdest thing I’ve seen is a sea robin) AHHHHHHHH!” *dies*

It's the play Shakespeare never wrote, but should have.

young smooth trunkfish...

I was once both young and smooth. Never a trunkfish though. They are gorgeous creatures, that dice fish stage! Too cute.

"...they will secrete a toxin when threatened, which can be deadly to humans"

Don't bug the fish....

tehbaddr's avatar

Pfffttt! No way THAT is a fish! Some other sort of deep sea abomination. Don't be fooled by it's cuteness, those spots mean danger!

Normal words cannot describe

The whimsy of the fishie

So we ask the Jabberwock

To help us fill our wishie

'Tis floomfy an' booncy

an' ploofie also too

Jus' cutesy and spootsy

an' cuddlish 'tis true!

But little fishy, beware the Walrus and Carpenter. Those guys are shady.

re steve millers house, it's like they watched every episode of hgtv renno/flipping shows and implemented it in the blandest way possible - the wood is beige, the handcrafted imperfect tiles in the bathroom are different shades of beige, the carpets are beige, the 'moody' rooms are grey - they have random shots of 'fancy' handles (which match the colour of the cupboard behind them but with a bit of gold on it), and the walls are painful white. Even the beige feature rock wall in the kitchen is boring

cmd Human Scum's avatar

I just remembered to look at Stephen and Katie Miller's house. RIght, they have 3 little kids and white couches and dining room chairs. And a whitish rug under the dining room table. maybe the kids have to eat in the basement.

According to the official, certified Italian person in the Monster household (Mrs. Monster), Rome, like most of northern Italy has very bland food. The best food is down south in Calabria, which just coincidentally is where her family is from.

"Haha, Missouri good government types gonna try to force Missouri to let voters vote on their gerryfucked congressional maps, like California did (and succeeded). They got three times the necessary signatures!"

Slight difference - in California, the lege had not created any mid-decade gerrymandered map for voters to vote against, unlike the Missouri lege. Of course, you're right, the Missouri lege will find some way to fuck this petition up.

"Trump’s case for his pardon of the drug dealer Honduran president: “What? Who? I did?”

Apparently, the week before ( Nov 30th ), Trump claimed he agreed with some idiots:

"Last week, when asked about the Hernández pardon during a Q&A on Air Force One, Trump, again referencing unspecified people, declared, “They said it was a Biden administration set-up. And I looked at the facts, and I agreed with them.”

This is not the first time that the Felonious One has contradicted his own lies.

I LOVE Rome!

Did you see Daniel? Did you see my best friend from elementary school?

My God--you're all so happy and gorgeous! Between this and the Color of the Year thing, I'm just so happy, despite having a horrible day--thank you!

We just got back from Tuscany cities trip a month ago. It was amazing/kind of amusing to see all the old fortifications, everywhere you turned. Lucca’s 360 degree wall just screamed ‘Go ahead, try. Make my day.’ But fun fact: part of the wall in Piombino (very nice seaside town; would recommend) was designed by DaVinci. Well, of course it was.

Long winded, as usual. But I’m glad you had a good trip. Yeah, we also found getting meals we liked to be kind of hit or miss.
