Biden didn’t beat Trump in 2020 by 50,000 votes, or some other number that could conceivably be affected by margin of error or even the minuscule examples of voter fraud. He won by more than 7 MILLION votes, a victory so convincing it’s beyond the pale that any rational person would deny it. Not only that, but swing states controlled by Republicans, like Georgia and Arizona, looked HARD at the election for any signs of fraud, and found none. Trump lawyers, including batshit Team Kraken, filed 50+ lawsuits alleging fraud, but without actual evidence. They had theories, dangerous theories that fed the wounded minds of maga people desperate for an alternate reality. Thus, the Big Lie, which is Exhibit A for why misinformation, and the misinformed, are so dangerous. Election officials better start now, shouting from the highest mountains, that 2024 WILL BE SECURE, and any talk of fraud pre-election by Trump or anyone is designed purely to sow doubt. The media has a responsibility too. Those 70% who “believe” 2020 was rigged aren’t going away, but their bullshit must be drowned out by the Truth, everyday.
I look forward to the day when Trump loses to himself, like a pathetic Braxton Bragg. It could happen soon when he loses all executive authority in the Trump Organization.
True, but also playing into that was a complete underestimation by the Kerry camp of the effect of the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth". Most people don't know this but Kerry had a CO who said Kerry ought to be shipped out of Vietnam because he was too eager for battle.
And yet, that was never used to combat the completely spurious allegations of the "Swift Boat" jokers. The Kerry camp thought the whole Swift Boat thing was a non-issue, but it was anything but.
The lesson is that you have to stomp on the throats of your opponents any and all the time. ALL the time. Because that is the game the GOP plays.
This is why the Founders restricted the franchise. They thought that wealth was evidence of sound judgment. That was wrong in 1789 and is horribly wrong today. A far better indicator of sound judgment would have been this: female.
