Out of sheer boredom ...I was channel surfing this weekend and stopped at the Daytona 500 long enough to noticed ..... ..when the camera did pan to the crowd.... 99% of those corn-fed in-breds were not wearing masks..
I don't understand how Florida has managed to keep its deaths per million down. They're 27th in the country. Larger population than New York but with about 40% fewer deaths. And they have so many old people and complete idiots run the show. Are they just lying about deaths? Or is their warm, humid climate saving them?
And yet farmers tend to vote Repub. The GOP has done an amazing job of getting people to vote against their own economic interests.
Note that having immigrant workers also keeps food costs down, which benefits almost all Americans.
They don't want to change the minimum wage to $15 'cause it would cost business too much, but eliminating low-cost farm labor is just fine and won't cost business a thing. Other than the cost of letting produce rot in the fields.
