We tried to push for sanctuary status in Barnstable County ( Cape Cod)but have a Republican Sheriff who preferred cooperating with ICE. Generally people around here recognize our need to support immigrants to keep our service economy going. Unfortunately, too many moron Republicans live here & while complaining about short staffing everywhere, they spew hateful Carlson nonsense about "illegal" & "open borders", while forgetting they are "washashores" & "snow birds". I've been proud of Martha's Vineyard & the Cape for stepping up & being overwhelmingly welcoming & helpful. Unfortunately, we still have to deal with the minority of haters regurgitating hate.

What’s stupid about this stunt is that the summer season is over. All those Chardonnay sipping limousine liberals DeathSantis thinks he’s owning have left the island. What’s left are mostly the permanent resident who work in the service industry.
