Friend: "some of the people who entered the Capitol committed crimes, but others were innocent."

Asshole. Entering the Capitol after law enforcement closed it to the public and literally barricaded the exterior is a crime all by itself. There are some people who entered late, after the defensive lines had evaporated, who might arguably have lacked the intent to criminally enter the Capitol and might not be worth prosecuting, despite being technically guilty. But being a part of a violent breach of the seat of government is a fucking crime even if you had no part in the violence yourself, and just wandered around gawking at things.

Friend isn't a "whistleblower." He is a sympathiser at best, and has no business working for the FBI. The only reason to not fire him immediately is because the FBI needs to investigate him and make sure that he is only a sympathiser to domestic terrorists, rather than an informer or collaborator.

I'm not sure why Officer Friendly isn't screaming that he's been silenced by the woke FBI, too. That usually plays well with his target audience. Fuck Ted Cruz.

It was nice of Kirsten Gillibrand, former conservative Dim congresscritter who was rated 100% by the NRA when in that office. Previously she had worked for a law firm where she defended cigarette companies from lawsuits about cancer.

When she she suddenly became a 'liberal' and bamboozled people in NY state, becoming a senator, she decided to promote herself by helping to destroy Al Franken's career and making herself a hero.

I have met Al twice (years before) and we have a friend in common, who won an Emmy, and I am certain he did nothing wrong. I have not voted for Gillibrand since, rather voting fo no-one, somthing I rarely do.

Grassley was President Pro tempore of Senate Jan 6, 2021The president pro tempore of the United States Senate (often shortened to president pro tem) is the second-highest-ranking official of the United States Senate. Article One, Section Three of the United States Constitution provides that the vice president of the United States is the president of the Senate (despite not being a senator), and mandates that the Senate must choose a president pro tempore to act in the vice president's absence. So, if Pence had been missing it would have been Grassley's job to certify the Electoral Vote.

When you start telling stories after you've already quit your job, you're not a whistleblower at that point. You're a disgruntled ex-FBI agent. Hopefully Rojo and Grass won't be in DC much longer.

It may not fix anything but boy it felt good.
