Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) says a new poll that shows him a a top choice among Texas Republicans to run for Senate has him thinking about the race. "It's certainly crossed my mind," Paul told The Ballot Box of a potential run for Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison's (R-Texas) Senate seat next year.
Ron Paul has actually read and published libertarian works on economics and public choice theory. I doubt anyone in the tea party have even read anything beyond the trashy Ayn Rand blather.
RuPaul would be a <i>fabulous</i> senator. He might not be in line with all of the libertarian issues, but he would be a strong advocate of the gold lam&eacute; standard.
I can&#039;t be alone in thinking he won&#039;t even get nominated. Texas has a lot of Republicans waiting in line for that seat.
