No one has to give it to Ross Douthat, but this seems like a gross thing to have paid y’all to write.

Why doesn't Bari Weiss just give in and hire the pillow man to do exposés for "60 Minutes"?

Douchebag was sent by Satan to destroy the remaining credibility of the Catholic church. At least, that's what they'd conclude if they ever nerved themselves to read some of the crap that he has written about religion.

I can just feel the cutting edge, take no prisoners, over the top journalism oozing from Mr. Douthat's neckbeard.

60 Minutes: The Next Generation is going to be awesome.

Too much unearned success has a way of breaking one's brain. There's this weird point in the evolution of successful men where they seem to decide that all these wonderful things that have come their way *must* be due to their natural virility and sexiness. It doesn't matter if they're doughy blobs like Ross Douthat or Newt Gingrich or people of that ilk, they just think that it all comes down to their magnetic sexuality. It's bad enough when politicians do this, but it's deeply embarrassing in people like Douthat who call themselves public intellectuals.

I honestly worry that this will happen to me one day, and that I'll just decide that I'm owed all the sex because of my inherent greatness or virtue or something.

He is an eternal embarrassment. Douthat is not a credit to his alma mater, nation, or race.

The single most positive thing I can say for him is his name autocorrected to Southard in my phone. I'm not sure which sounds like the bigger slur.

I has a neckbeard.

I feel like a guy who has a BMW yet always uses his turn signal and lets people merge in front. (I don't, I has a Benz. I do use my turn signals and let people merge, though).

The neckbeard is not the issue. It's the words coming out of the neckbeard.

For some bizarre reason I just flashed back to a scene in a movie. Couldn't tell you what movie it was, or even when I saw it (probably on TV) but...

This guy's interviewing a guy who's dying of throat and lung cancer, in the hospital, and the dying guy asks for a cigarette. Our hero obliges, hands over the pack, and this guy's throat is so clogged up he inhales the cigarette smoke through his tracheotomy hole. Then he passes the rest of the pack back, and our hero says, "No, I just quit."
