Isn't that the whole point of the Kaepernick saga? He took a knee in silent protest of injustice, they made it all about the troops and the flag. You're not going to win playing semantic games with these people, they are much better at it than we are.
Amazing how wingnuts look to talk about black on black crime but never offer any solutions for it. It's almost like they're homing those communities just destroy themselves so they can get in the gentrify the ruins.
Obvs what we need is the voices of more old white men to tell us how to solve race problems in this country, if race problems were even really a thing.
There is literally no "good" way for black people to interact with the police. Pick any scenario: running, on their knees with their hands up, sleeping in their own bed, etc. And you will find an example of the police straight up shooting a black person for whatever reason. Police are trained to think of blackness as an inherent weapon that requires lethal force as the only possible recourse.

It's really frustrating to watch folks stumble about when you've already handed them the answer. I think Sherrilyn Ifill Esq. and Senator Kamala Harris are the bees' knees, but as many times as they've tried to do this for Americans since even before the 2016 election, and their suggestions went completely unheeded while white men waited for their tired brains to think of it only to come up with the answer too late or not at all, I wouldn't be them for anything.
It's the worst kind of Cassandra crap in the world to be PROVEN RIGHT multiple times when all you're trying to do is keep the world from setting fire to itself, and nobody wants to hear it.
