Former NYC 9/11 Mayor 9/11 Rudy 9/11 Giuliani is defending his old pal Chris Christie, saying that the New Jersey governor and future former Republican front-runner is definitely not a bully, and that the closure of lanes on the George Washington Bridge last September was merely a "stupid political prank that backfired." Stuff happens, and once in a while, when you leave a bucket of water perched on a cracked-open door, it snarls traffic for four days and
maybe that was the point. to show the GOP Christie could out prank the Mittster. "Humiliating teens with forced hair cuts? Pffft... Let me show you humiliation Jersey style!"
I flew regularly immediately afterwards- it was a pain in the ass. Nobody had figured out the whole TSA screening crap yet so you had baggage handlers and gate agents pawing through your luggage on the floor. I flew a couple of months later after coming directly out of a show that had used pyro- good times! I also flew on the one year anniversary of 9-11- easiest flying day in years because everyone else was afraid to fly so the airports were ghost towns
He is 120 years old. I had him on a show a year ago and he's so frail and ancient that I was afraid I was going to accidentally snap him in two pinning a lavaliere mic on his tie
a corporate show for a big retailer. A bunch of Heartland folks- they also had Lee Greenwood sing 'Proud To Be An American' to them one morning and an opening day module that seemed to be a cross between a Fellini movie and the Circus Circus scene in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas-all it needed was the ether...
One question that no one (besides Rachel Maddow) seems to be asking of Christie- why did he not bother talking to Bridget Kelly before he fired her? The man admits that several of his closest aides lied to him and he seems quite uninterested in finding out why. You'd think that a former prosecutor would be just a bit curious about not only their reasons for lying to him, but in finding out what else they lied to him about. Yet he never bothered talking to Kelly nor the Port Authority person nor anyone else involved. It's almost like he already knows the answer...
They're just honest, decent folks who don't want her death turned into a football. It sounds like she did die at home and quickly.
The people who were injured in a car accident and who waited an extra 7 min. for EMS to reach them and get them to hospitals may not feel quite so lenient.
We were referring to Christie as a troll the other day. Considering the other clear instances of bullying, and that a woman died as perhaps an indirect result of this latest "prank", I think we are well beyond troll, and well into Shakespearian Villain. Treachery, callousness, and a complete void of empathy for those outside his circle. I'm thinking of Hamlet's Claudius - and he just fired Rosencrantz and Guildenstern as cover.
Looks like a very complicated tampon commercial.
At the risk of seeming pedantic and ruining your analogy, that was Richard III they found in that parking lot. Otherwise, spot on.

No worries [big-assed huge-grin smileythingy]. Sorry to dampen your smugness - I know I enjoy a bit of smug now and then myself. Cheers.
