AOTK - He was scared to death that what he planned happened - just not exactly as it was planned. But that's the problem with mobs - a lack of control.
I often hear people say that the three branches of government are separate but equal. THIS IS FUNDAMENTALLY INCORRECT. By our Constitution, all power is vested it "THE PEOPLE" Being the elected representative of the people, the Congress has the most authority. The Executive, having control of the military, to a degree, may be viewed as second. The Judiciary, "having neither the might of the sword nor the power of the purse", is third in line.
Trump made an attempt to shift that paradigm and make the Executive the most powerful. That was Sedition in the most foul form for which he and his accomplices should be held to the highest degree culpable
See the thing is, everyone already opposed to Assmouth and his ilk, as well as those who just think he’s a lovely person but not right for the job (phoning in from LaLa Land), already KNOW it’s all about the money. And then the rest of them? Well they know but don’t care, or they don’t know because they are too abjectly stupid to understand. So really following the money is a fairly pointless activity, unless it will end in a prosecution.
Which seems fairly difficult, since for instance Powell WAS making an effort to challenge the election with the money she collected. Which isn’t inherently illegal, whether the underlying assumptions are valid or not.
Aside from a few tinfoil-hat-wearers (looking at you Lindell) they will all jump off the Assmouth train as soon as it is clear that DeSantis or Abbott or Tulsi Gabbard will be the GOP nominee. They only care about results, i.e. a party which will write and enforce the rules for their benefit. WHO is sitting in the big chair is irrelevant.
Except in specific cases, which they could spin “correcting a corrupt election” into one of. It’s only a question of whether military leadership would drink the koolade or not. The troops would (possibly) follow orders, if their bosses said they were ok.
It would actually be interesting to watch, in a “Rome is burning, get the marshmallows” kind of way. As a (former) military officer I wonder what would have happened if the NORTHCOM Commander (in charge of all combat troops on US soil) went full Assmouth. I’d like to think enough people would stand up to him, but I’m unfortunately not completely certain.
Hmmmm, seems like he might have "borrowed" that position from some other dipshit Republican turf monger.
The unitary executive theory is a theory of United States constitutional law which holds that the President of the United States possesses the power to control the entire federal executive branch.
I have a strong opinion that Hamilton, Madison, Jefferson et al would disagree. Jefferson in particular was very wary or this and although very wealthy himself, feared the rise of an American "NOBILITY" which may be why he was one of the first to suggest an income tax. These men were very complex individuals, and although they very much enjoyed their own lives of wealth and privilege, they still managed to maintain a sense of empathy for the common citizen. Jefferson is particular even respected the dignity of Negro slaves. By all accounts, they were treated very well at Monticello. He wanted them to be educated and they were even permitted to engage in "for profit" business. Daresay he was very "progressive"
Damn, that was written 10 weeks ago. I suspect that collectively they're just hoping to keep it to a 10-digit write-off, rather than 11-digits. Even I didn't think he could completely destroy a $32Billion (equity value of Twitter before he announced he was taking a big chunk) company so quickly. Like, I knew he was an idiot for offering a 38% premium, at least half of that premium would disappear almost instantly, but I don't think he could get $15B for Twitter now, maybe not even $10B. And again, that's in like 74 days.

It was a bad sign when his head spun around on his shoulders a couple of times - and then the projectile vomiting began.

No collusion!
Also it's some sort of scam to get around campaign finance laws. Saudi princes can buy multiple sets and it's a legit transaction!
Fuckin' nice. Burnt their asses!
In regard to Trump, "I don't see...any method...at all."
That was the first documentation of a Karen on film.
There's a competition in trumpworld to see who can be craziest!
