Bleah. It'll be interesting to see which real Dem candidates decide to primary Cuomo. The last GOP governor we had, George Pataki, was 16 years ago and was one of the last relatively inoffensive Republicans.
The people AFTER Pataki include Carl Paladino, whom Rachel Maddow thought might be a long-form experiment in performance art.
Nicole Malliatakis was the last GOP sacrificial lamb, and I guess she was rewarded with $$ for her campaign for the Staten Island House seat. She is an always-Trumper who mostly votes with Marjorie Taylor Greene.
People would love Tish James to run, but she may be too engrossed in putting Trump and Trump-adjacent grifters in jail.
