what, no U87? I've used a couple of their ribbon mics, haven't tried the USB mic. I've been toying with picking up their new stage condenser- maybe a 30 day try out courtesy of guitar center

HAHAHAHHAA! dude i'm talent. somebody five years ago told me to get this cute round thing that hooks up to my mac thing and my other lenovo thing and occasionally garage band but mostly audacity. sometimes.

that's the problem with you guys- you're all full of yourselves and think you're smarter than the rest of us. Who the fuck decided YOU were in any position to second guess anyone or anything? Being in love with your own opinions to the exclusion of everyone else's doesn't qualify as an endorsement. If I were Snowden I would certainly have a better plan than the fumble-fuck nonsense we're seeing. Good Lord, the guy was in the spy biz for how long and doesn't have any connections/insider options? Talk about laughable...

I've elected to opt out of the having-an-opinion-about-Ed repartee, but I will make an observation about an theme that comes up in many of the comments: "You should not be surprised at any of these revelations. They were already well-known (or, at least, you should have been able to deduce them based on known) facts."

My observation is that, no matter how true this theme is, it is not relevant to an evaluation of the importance of the present disclosures. It appears that quite a few people were at least startled by the news -- whether or not they "should" have been -- even allowing for those who have developed "concerns" based on partisan considerations. The importance of this kerfuffle will be determined by the degree to which is stirs debate and moves public opinion, not by whether or not it should have surprised us.

There is also a (hopefully unintended) implication in the "no surprise" theme, which is "Because you didn't figure this out X years ago, your present concern is invalid". I hope no one is using it that way, because that's about as logical as this.

exactly, most of them knew (obviously the LIV's didn't, then again they still don't get it and likely never will), they just didn't care until it became yet another disingenuous cudgel to wield against the Kenyan Usurper.

it's like arguing with the Paultards who ignore the huge gaping flaws of the man (like he's batshitcrazy and made his career on the backs of racists) and Spackle over all the immense problems with him just because they agree with a few of his positions. Their ability to say "nuh, uh I can't hear you" over and over to anything that threatens to upset their cognitive dissonance is simply amazing. And the scary part is there's a huge overlap in the Venn diagram of the two groups

Dude, that was Madison. Ima bet they had people protesting the sketchy gummint recruiters. etc, during Bush and Clinton and Bush and Reagan, etc etc.

I know we had them during Johnson.

The question is, when does the media pay attention? You know, the liberal media that spends all its time covering up for the Kenyan Usurper?

I have had one really annoying experience at O'Hare (thunderstorm, plane pushed back nevertheless, and we sat on the tarmac for three hours WITH NO DRINKS).

But the other couple dozen visits were just bog-standard gigantic-airport stuff. I always thought they could change the popular perception by putting in fucking shopping malls like Heathrow. Maybe they have; it's been ten years since I was last at ORD.
