I have always cut my bangs with a pair of kitchen shears. And it looks like it! Long hair don't care.

But that's the thing. The way the PPP act was written, there's no requirement to show hardship caused by the pandemic. They're trying to get that into the next installment, last I heard, but it's not in the first one. So, they're actually not even breaking the law or doing anything technically wrong. This whole bill was meant to be trough for the political class. It's doing exactly what it was supposed to.

I don't know of any way to check on the status of your application. Perhaps the lender you are working with can do that. If you got a number, then as I understand the program the money should have been set aside for your loan while the process was completed. Communication with lenders has been poor because they were also overwhelmed. Still, they should tell you that.

That's a different program - the PPP loan. There's no bank involvement in the EIDL loans. The government just sends you the money, but apparently there is no money. They spent it all already. I believe they spent it all on both programs and there is no funding for either right now.

I'm too cheap and/or busy as a rule to go get a real haircut and when I do get around to it, it usually looks so crappy that anything is an improvement.

Big crisis brings out the best and the WORST in people and companies.

I will spend my few dollars accordingly.

Sorry if I got my SBA programs confused. I applied personally for the EIDL advance and loan and have a number. After a week I called and the nice lady at SBA (1-800-659-2955) answered right away. She said they were a couple of weeks behind in responding by email. Are they out of money altogether or just for new applications? I don't know. When the pump is re-primed will those of us with a number be first in line? I would certainly hope so. This is the program cut from a maximum of $2,000,000 to $15,000 and the $10,000 emergency grant cut to $1,000 per person.

I could see a group of Restaurant/Bar workers picketing Ruth's Chris when this is over with signs saying "Ruth's Chris got your/our "Paycheck protection" $$ and we are out of a job" Let their greed bring them down.

They used to be ok. Much like White Castle- not great, but something decently edible to soak up the alcohol at 3am. IDK what's happened.

Our Founding Founders would be appalled at Rushbo getting the medal of freedom, maybe as much as they would be appalled at a Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, getting the highest non Russian citizen award from Putin, a murderous dictator and supposedly adversary of good ole USA.
