Sell the cloak. Buy a sword. Use sword to rob a guy with a cloak. Now you are even. Tanks, Jeebus!

They are all machine guns. The only "difference" between full and semi auto is a finger wiggle. Which is no practical difference at all.

Have no fear. Your dicker will not be quatermastered unless he is dickering for your dicker. Then, compared to the usual keelhauling and embracing the gunner's mistress, a little quartermastering of your dicker would only amount to entertainment amongst that jolly rogering crew.

"If guns are illegal, only criminals will have guns." Hmmm...machine guns are (mostly) illegal, but I don't see any wackos in the US going on killing sprees with machine guns. Nope. Just regular old legally, easily acquired guns.

They don't have to go on killing sprees. Just knowing they can buy them and keep them in their house where anyone can find them is threatening. I have a neighbor with a 20-year history of violence and drug and alcohol abuse, currently under arrest for illegal possession of a firearm. He is not allowed to buy guns, but he lives with his mother, who has, at last report, bought 5 guns for him, which they keep unsecured in the house and show off to visitors.

Any firearm that employs gas pressure to eject the spent cartridge and feed the next round into the chamber is a semi-automatic. Ever since the beginning of the 20th century almost every multishot gun made that wasn't a revolver or a shotgun has employed this method for internally handling the rounds. There is nothing exotic or unusual about the presence of semi-automatic action in a modern firearm. It is quite commonplace. The main alternatives to semi-automatic action in multishot firearms include the familiar revolver, along with manually-operated sliding bolt action, pre-loading individual rounds into separately-fired chambers in a multi-barrel gun (e.g., a breech-loaded double-barreled shotgun), and pump action feed.
