DON'T PUT WORD SALAD IN HER MOUTH.
[contextly_sidebar id="BEjOlyj1k9U8hPaObpqAQdxk5dzTpKbK"]Congratulations, Sarah Palin, you talked to the nice people at the "Today Show" for five whole minutes Monday and managed to do TWO major stupids. First you were saying people are mean to judge Donald Trump for not being Christian enough, because how is that even anyone's business? You know what's ALSO not anyone's business? That thing Sarah Palin said while she was stumping for Trump, about how her son Track Palin beated up his girlfriend because Obama hates the troops, THANKS OBAMA.
Here, let's watch Palin go the fuck off when Savannah Guthrie DARES to ask her about how she used her son's arrest to score political points against the president:
Watch @SarahPalinUSAspeak out on TODAY in exclusive interview. #IowaTODAY https: //t.co/Kbol2A7w9x
— TODAY (@TODAYshow) February 1, 2016
PALIN: I never said that.
GUTHRIE: I want to take it piece by piece. What exactly did you mean?
PALIN: Let's start piece by piece by, you guys brought me here to talk about Iowa politics and the caucus tonight, not to talk about my kids. And that was a promise! But as things go in the world of media, you guys don't always keep your promises, evidently.
Gosh, if the mean NBC anchors had really invited her under the pretense of a political discussion and instead chosen to talk about her family's PRIVATE PROBLEMS, which had absolutely no bearing on the Iowa caucuses, that WOULD be mean, wouldn't it? Besides, she says she ain't never blamed the president for Track's PTSD, she blamed him for another thing:
I never blamed President Obama. What I have blamed President Obama in doing though, is this level of disrespect for the United States military that is made manifest in gutting budgets, in not trying to beef it up and let our military do the job that they are trained to do. And in specific issues that we're talking about that are so hot today, specifically, let's get in there and let's utterly destroy ISIS, as we know our United States military can do. Yet we have a commander in chief who seems to kinda want to kowtow and allow the enemy to be poking at us, and that's unacceptable to most Americans, certainly to me.
Matt Lauer asks Palin if she regrets saying such a dick thing about the president, and guess what, nope:
What did I say that is offensive? ... I don't regret any comment that I made because I didn't lay PTSD at the foot of the president. [...] If you guys have a specific quote, it allows the media to be more credible if you guys will tell me exactly what you're talkin' about!
Excuse us, WHAT THE FUCK, SARAH? You just wish the mean lamestream media types would show you the quote where you said, at a rally for your candidate Donald Trump, that your son has PTSD because of how Obama hates the troops and sends them into wars to die? Well, yr Wonkette may not be as lamestream as NBC, but we know how to transcribe your dumb ass. Here is THE SPECIFIC QUOTE:
When I talk about a commander in chief who will never leave our men and our women behind, let me get a little bit personal on this. Um, I’m talkin’ about not leaving our wounded warriors behind also. Our wounded warriors who come home from the battlefield, bringing new battles with them. Our wounded warrior, sometimes in body and in mind, coming back different than when they left for the war zone.
I can talk personally about this. I guess it’s kind of the elephant in the room because my own family, going through what we’re going through today, with my son, a combat vet, having served in a striker brigade, fight for you all, America, in the war zone.
But my son, like so many others, they come back a bit different, they come back hardened, they come back wondering if there is that respect for what it is that their fellow soldiers and airmen and every other member of the military, so sacrificially have given to this country, and that starts from the top, it’s a shame that our military personnel even have to wonder, if they have to question if they’re respected anymore. It starts from the top, the question, though, that comes from our own president, where they have to look at him and wonder: do you know what we go through, do you know what we’re trying to do to secure America and to secure the freedoms that have been bequeathed us!
HUH! It sure does sound like the "elephant" in the room is Track Palin being arrested for domestic assault, and that he came back from Iraq "a bit different," which apparently means PTSD, and he got it because "they have to look at [the president AKA Obama The Muslim Kenyan Warlord] and wonder" whether he even cares about their sacrifices. So naturally that made Track get beaty-beaty with a lady, allegedly.
But hey, maybe we are being super unfair and misinterpreting Sarah's freeform mouth sharts. Maybe her words just got ahead of her brain (weird!) and she didn't mean to imply that at all! Anyway, denying she said the thing she said is about as close as you'll get to a retraction from Sarah Palin, so we'll read that denial as "only a truly uncouth degenerate would blame her son's drunken girlfriend beating on the president" and she's super super sorry, y'all.
Hey, a website can dream.
I hear The Donald flew Harriers off of HMS Hermes during the Falklands War. Bill O'Reilly was his WSO.
A taser that has to fire reliably every time Sarah Lou says something stupid will have to be on A/C, not batteries.
