Given the context in which she claimed Native ancestry, it was not in any way inappropriate for her to do so on a genuinely held, if undocumented, belief at that time (the 80s and 90s). Demands for documentation are either ignorant of, or counting on the audience&#039;s ignorance of, the history of tribal enrollment vs. ancestry vs. eligibility for citizenship of the Federally recognized tribes, which is complex, to say the least. Just the fact that she&#039;s from Oklahoma <em>should</em> be enough to satisfy any reasonable person of the likelihood she has some Native blood.
The asbestos stuff is just standard Rovian smears, with about as much honest representation of the facts as you&#039;d expect (none at all). Brown&#039;s just another lying goober sleazeball.
