I believe the proper response to this shithole of a decision is always: VERGOGNA!

Ta, Gary. Elder Sister, whose memory will always be a blessing, went to high school with "Sammy" Alito. She went to community college; he went to Princeton. I'm glad she didn't live to see what he's become and what he's wrought.

I love this pic of Sammy the scumbag. He looks miserable. Hopefully he is. Cancer to everything that matters, which is what Sammy and the rest of the enablers of Democracy's death are, deserve misery and everlasting suffering. And every drop of scorn and ridicule we can dish out.

Did they have candidates for the old districts already filed with the appropriate nominating petitions on file as well as alternate ballots printed up with all the candidates for the districts on the old map?

SO APPARENTLY CLARENCE THOMAS, THAT WORTHLESS FUCKING CHARLATAN, WANTS TO BE THE ONLY BLACK PERSON IN AMERICA WHO GETS TO VOTE

The SCOTUS SIX might not be partisan. They might be white supremacist. Clarence Thomas always makes me think of Samuel L. Jackson's character, Stephen, in Django Unchained.

I'm just glad Clarence and Ginny seem happy.

The Supreme Court has a long tradition of right-wing partisan fuckery, going back to undoing New Deal initiatives, and progressive legislation before that. The racism may be a little more blatant now, but the tone, intent and effect are pretty much the same.

The Republic has survived this so far. But that's no reason to get smug.

Is it me or is Alito turning into Evil Gene Hackman?

I live in blue dot Bham Alabama. It is exhausting. We protest. We fight. I was thrilled when I finally got Terri Sewell as rep instead of that weasel Gary Palmer who quit having town halls because too many of us showed up and asked questions he didn’t want to answer. We are trying but I’m so disheartened. There is great writing and reporting. John archibald and Kyle Whitmire and they help but honestly I just don’t know if this state will ever turn around from its racism.

"Maybe he went to the SCOTUS cafeteria for lunch"

Not likely. Alito has lunch served by small black children dressed as historical museum interpreters. (i.e. like slaves in 1860)

Voting rights are so yesterday. I am waiting for Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, etc. to pass their laws preventing Democrats from using the same bathroom as white people or sitting at the same counter as them or marrying white women.

As long as you claim it's for political reasons, its Constitutional!!!!

I would like to see Alito rolling down the Supreme Court steps like they do for that cheese tournament in Gloucester, England

Stick him in a baby carriage and give him the ol' "Battleship Potemkin."

(That is still a stunning sequence. Audiences back then must have screamed and fainted... )
