These assholes CANNOT win without cheating! They know the demographics are not on their side, and their ideas are deeply unpopular, so their only option is to block Dems from voting. It's Un-American, petty, and small.

From what I've read, the imported oil field workers are largely southern and western whites, probably not strong Democrats. Though as someone else noted, the boom has receded enough that there aren't workers living in trailers parked in an empty field somewhere as much as there were 3-4 years ago.

That’s very true. Maybe they have grounds for an unfair competition, or maybe a “restraint of trade”, lawsuit? As for climate change, a lot of people don’t know that the Top 20 pastie manufacturers in the world are located along our Gulf and Atlantic coasts, so...

I would've gone with paid staffers to work with the 911 people to assign addresses, and shuttle buses to the nearest DMV or wherever for ID.

I don't see it nowadays. It used to be all Latino people were that way. Now, Cubans maybe. The old ones, but that's it. Not other groups, that I can see. Oh, Russians, of course. But they're born old.

In Australia it is possible, but difficult, to become registered to vote as itinerant, with no fixed address. There are people who work mobile seasonal jobs and have no real fixed abode.But we have mandatory voting so they find a way to register everybody. We also don't do the primary thing.
