Give Trump some credit. Maybe this isn't just petty retaliation. The concept of disloyal deep state bad apples, once nurtured into "fact", justifies a purge, and an established distrust of the rest of the barrel. The nation still needs special operations forces, federal judiciary and law enforcement bureaus, and domestic and foreign intelligence structures. Painting the current institutions as being corrupt, disloyal, and incompetent leads to a next step of creating new centers of state power that are "independent" of corrupting influences like legislative oversight, judicial review, or any public accountability. All governments have structures with varying levels of opacity, but malign authoritarian dictatorships provide the clearest examples of "states within a state", and the perverse rationalizations for their creations. So... When a purge of people like Brennan, Clapper, McRaven and countless others is underway, and in the same week, it is "maybe a good idea" if Eric Prince were handed the responsibility and lavish funding to replace the current U.S. forces in Afghanistan with a "private, independent" army of his mercenaries, a paranoid might wonder if there is anything more in play than the coincidence of petty payback and another opportunity for large-scale grifting by the DeVos clan.

That would be 9/11 using the older Julian calendar. Russia/USSR did not adopt the Gregorian calendar until 1918. At that time the calendar jumped ahead 11 days IIRC so 9/11 is 9/22 using the current calendar. (The same calendar 'jumping' applies to George Washington because England and the British colonies used the Julian calendar when he was born.)

They can get on the ballot. They do get on the ballot. The Prohibition Party had a Presidential candidate. He got around 5500 votes nationwide.

The ones not geyying on the ballot are the ones not running candidates for whatever reason. It's not a conspiracy.

They can't win if they can't get on the ballot. And most states' laws governing elections militate against that.

Where I think you are wrong is that they might win. Just not right now. Not until they build the party up into something that can win. That is where the third parties almost all fail. They ant the win without having to do the work. The years and years and years of work with little gain to show for it until it finally pays off.

The analogy is they want to be the CEO of a company on their second day at work and quit if they are not the automatically promoted to CEO. They they try again in 2 or 4 years and quit again.

Third parties suck because any competent would-be office holder knows they can't win with just third-party backing. For reasons I've stated, it just ain't gonna happen.
