Those liberal fascists are criticizing me, and that's just like Hitler So the biggest news about Sean Hannity's Tuesday night show was that it happened. Sean wasn't sent to that big farm upstate where all the disappeared Fox hosts go, and returned to his show after the long weekend. In the A block of his rantfest, Hannity emphasized that while he is definitely not going to keep talking about his completely evidence-free speculation that murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich was the
One of my fondest memories of the nonsensical runup to the invasion of Iraq is the time shitheel invited Mike Ferrell(?) to debate the wisdom and necessity of pre-emptive war. I still giggle my ass off when I think of how hard Hannity got taken to school by BJ Hunnicut.
Earliest known photo of Hannity reading the news to his audience!http://www.tampabay.com/res...Hannity is on the far right center whining to his classmates at his day-care center, while they glue erasers onto pencils ends!
The thing is, though, the "talking heads" influenced a critical mass of voters, along with the troll army. If you systematically disinform a group of low-information people, they will believe you and support you. The propaganda machine is a hugely potent tool--look at Goebbels. Without the "farrago of nonsense"--if we had actual, factual news dispensing actual truth, the way it used to be--none of this would be happening, and continuing.
We do have actual, factual news dispensing "actual" truth - more than ever before in the history of the world. We also have more readily accessible nonsense. And some of it is dangerous.
"...the way it used to be...?" When? When political parties in America owned their own newspapers and published what they wanted? Why is it difficult to accurately read some of Abraham Lincoln's speeches? Because the newspapers that supported him and the newspapers that opposed him often simply printed what they wanted their readers to read - whether Mr. Lincoln actually said it or not.
We need to continue to educate the consumers - to teach critical thinking skills.
I'm not sure many of President Trump's supporters are "low-information people." I think for many of them the issue is too much information of the wrong kind.
My mom is the best. Not perfect, not a saint or an angel, but human and flawed and the best. So, thank you.
(Also, she's right about Maddow vs. me as daughter material. Fewer hairballs, for one.)

I think I had that dream in junior high.
No, definitely mind. Libido, at least.
What bugs me the most about RM is her incessant manspaining. She assumes her audience is a bunch of morons. They likely are. But it still bugs me.
And a lover of fine cocktails.

true
Age libelz! I'm 62 and have the mind of a randy 16 yo.
I don't think talking heads on American tv is the equivalent of Russian intelligence influencing a Presidential election.
Apples to kumquats.

Has the intellectual sophistication of, "Oh yeah? Then you can't be my best friend anymore!". Seriously, Sean, get help.
Maddow must be soooooooo terrified at the thought of losing viewers who also watch Hannity and take him seriously. Imagine the Venn diagram!
"It’s about responsibility in conspiracy journalism." Of which Hannity has none!
