Conservatives are taking the Jade Helm invasion of Texas so seriously that Bill O'Reilly is already lying about his combat experience there.

Read about this in my Tucson paper this morning. The Black Lives folks-God bless 'em-might've done better to disrupt the Trump event in Phx.

You know, I was more repulsed by Miss Edie's egg consumption than anything else in that film. And there were a lot of repulsive things to choose from.

The thing about The Really Big One, earthquake-wise, is that's not the One I worry about. I have concerns about the Medium One, and the Big One, about are my family's preparations adequate? how will I get home? etc.. But The Really Big One? No worries because there is really no way to prepare for the entire northwest of the continent going kablooie. The rest of the continent will just have to deal.

I dunno. I don't think their point was to "disrupt" but to "make a point." About black lives mattering. Think that they could do that at a Republican gathering? I don't. I think they'd be out in minutes.

Is it bad that O'Malley and Sanders couldn't make their pitches? Well, yeah. But the Black Lives Matter people could make their pitches. Not a win-win, but ... Black Lives Matter can't make their pitch, Republican candidates can (the likely outcome of a protest at an R speakers' presentation): lose-lose. No?

And ... O'Malley and Sanders don't seem to be indignant. They seem mostly thoughtful, "this is something that is important." So ... I don't see anyone coming out of the protest damaged. Some people got a platform to present. Other people got a chance to think about what was presented. Not the plan, but ... works for me.

And ... honestly, the ability of passionate protesters to take over the event? That's pretty much a good thing. At least, it seems so to me. And it seems to me that there's only one party in which that can happen now, which makes me rather more sympathetic to that party.
