Why would you assume I'd get upset or defensive?

So many White people do (including a certain FL governor who's so defensive about it that he's trying to draft & pass laws that prohibit people from even discussing it) that both Robin DiAngelo and Ijeoma Oluo wrote books about it.

Also, after IO's second book, she and her family got so many death threats over the message in it that she took her social media profile down.

So ... no reason? I mean, in about a decade and a half of talking about implicit bias and systemic racism, about 97.7 % of the reactions I personally have had when I mention either run much closer to DeathSantis' reaction than to yours (even though if it weren't important to you at all my guess is that you wouldn't even have mentioned it; you'd have glossed right over it & just responded to the substance of the original inquiry. So there's, you know, that.)

I worked the phones for the IRS for over 10 years - every call was recorded; every contact with an IRS employee had to be officially documented, signed, and delivered to my manager within 3 (or 4??) hours. Every call that came in from my zip code (normally does not happen) also. If it was someone I knew, I had to document it and then transfer to someone else.

I can't believe that the President's guard works under looser strictures.

The US military is unfortunately full of neo-Nazi recruits as well, so be careful what you wish for.

The Secret Service should be the most loyal, dedicated true-believers in the current potus. None of the SS on Biden’s detail should have any Trump stink on them, or they are a danger to the potus. If any SS agents deleted damaging texts from 1/6, that’s some serious shit. The job the 1/6 committee did was honorable, capable and smart. It was effective too, with Republican, Liz Cheney taking a hugely visible role, and all or virtually all the witnesses giving sworn testimony being republicans. It was effective. However, I’m not convinced the DOJ has the balls to test the system and charge DJT with a crime. There would likely be wingnut riots, if not even larger violent reactions. Plus, even if they did manage to bring charges against him by 2023, would that shit drag out so long the 2024 election would arrive sooner? I’m not holding my breath. It’s mind boggling to think that Trump could be allowed to run again. If the GOP had done what they knew they must and impeached him, they would forever be free of him. Instead, we are facing the threat of MAGA 2.0.

Another cover up by government officials. They will always cover up if given the chance.

ah, but you see, the current president is no fool and could put those riots down hard n the early stages (i am not advocating for shooting or maiming, i mean getting in there and disrupt these fools who plan on social media for all to see)
