“This too shall pass”

Case in point: the right pretending that they really gave a shit about Charlie Kirk or how he died. That whole thing was over by Christmas.

OT I dunno. It seems that a tattoo artist might have not gotten the message that Donald Trump does not look like Crying Michael Jordan crossed with Al Sharpton OR they seriously decided to fuck with MAGAts as a protest.

I'm out for the day. I'm feeling too grumpy and I have to be on my best behavior at the social security office this afternoon. Laters!

Remember that it’s probably not the fault of the people working for SSA, which has been gutted due to Elno’s DOGE folly. Good luck!

Good thing WD was not a field officer during the Vietnam War. Somebody would have fragged his ass just for general principle. (In fact, General Principle probably would have ordered it.)

“The call is send us, not send he, not send she, not send they/them.”

Wait a minute, “us” is a gender-neutral pronoun! Fuck!

Trump's comments on Iran should be considered for entertainment purposes only. Any connection to actual events is purely coincidental.

Yopi's avatar

Obligatory.

"We have been dealing with it, and don't need to worry about it," the secretary of defense said in reference to the Strait of Hormuz.

Yopi's avatar

He said it in March I should add.

Kegsbreath might not be long for his (shitty) job. Apparently pissing off the Poles by cancelling the (re)deployment of 5000 Troops to Poland and thus pissing off the Diaper Baby Trump who chewed out Kegsbreath according to the many leakers who hate Kegsbreath's guts.

TerseNurse's avatar

also too, I'm absolutely certain that he assured Trump back in Feb that this Iran adventure would be easy-peasy, a flyswatter decapitation action that would last a few days, maybe a week or two at most.

Trump is stupid, but I'm pretty sure that even he sees there's no good way out of this mess.

Yopi's avatar

It's going to be easier than Venezuela, he told him .

Toomush Expectashuns's avatar

There's a hotel in Venzuela, where all the CIA spooks and folks plotting the future of Venezuela are hanging out, kind of running the country by default. This is gonna go well...

Anarchy Pony's avatar

Which is an incredibly stupid thing to say or think.

Well, considering the source....

And lest we forget;

"at last year’s West Point commencement ceremony, after rambling incoherently about trophy wives to mystified cadets, Preznit Fuckwit teetered off stage and hurried the fuck out of there. the MAGA-cap-wearing shithead didn’t shake a single hand."- Jeff Tiedrich

Mavenmaven's avatar

He was just as bad this year, cadets can look forward to burial on "howl ground" etc

JanuaryClaire's avatar

So Whiskeydick is a lateral move. Because I'm not sure I would call him an improvement.

Remember when we had worthy speakers at the West Point graduations? Like this guy in 2024.

<Speaking before the graduating cadets took the their commissioning oaths, Biden reminded them that they were swearing fidelity not to a person or political party, but to the Constitution. As other speakers alluded to partisan rancor and political division across the nation, Biden said, "Hold fast to your values that you learned here at West Point."

"Ideas need defenders to make them real," Biden said. "That's what you are all about. You must keep us free at this time like none before."

Biden highlighted that rates of sexual assault and harassment in the military declined for the first time last year in a decade, calling it "long past time," but said even more work was necessary.

The president stood for more than an hour returning a salute from and shaking the hands of each graduate. Biden, as is customary, also absolved cadets of minor offenses committed during their time at the academy, adding with a laugh, "the superintendent can clarify what minor means.">

PrimerGray's avatar

Do you think Assface could stand for an hour and shake hands with everyone?

satch's avatar

Doesn't want to risk more bruising.

Rosy red ASS's avatar

Hell no. He wouldn't because he hates the troops.

SkeptiKC's avatar

So do I, with ALL of my black little heart.

I truly love and respect President Biden to bits.

PrimerGray's avatar

At least he did what he thought was right for all the people. He tried. His faith in our institutions was noble, but misguided for the times we are in now.

SkeptiKC's avatar

I can't argue with that.

People suffering from 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘚𝘺𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘦 believe that they are undeserving of their achievements and the high esteem in which they are held, that they are not as accomplished as people think and the truth will come out...

Secretary of Dipsomania believes that he's absolutely and completely deserving of accolades, that his achievements are not going to be matched, he's underappreciated and the truth is irrelevant...

That's what ? Like 𝘋𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘢𝘨 𝘚𝘺𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘦?

Interestingly, the adage "this soo shall pass" appears to have its origins in a *cough* Persian *cough* fable.

You know, Persia, as in IRAN, Pete?

"As Charlie Kirk often said, remember always, this too shall pass."

I'm not sure what he wanted that to mean, but it didn't.

Burgum: "We shouldn't even call these 'data centers.' We should call it manufacturing intelligence. There's a concentrated information propaganda war that's geo-targeted. Any place that's trying to build data centers is getting bombarded with foreign-directed propaganda to try to block these from being built."

Ahh the ol' "Don't listen to them. They are wonderful and the people asking questions we cannot answer are evil foreigners."
