The problem is that the "good folks" in Arkansas are still caught up in fighting the Civil War and will NOT accept or vote for a black man or anything the progressives stand for. They want to go back to picking cotton and chose a Senator of the same name to get them back to 1859.

... when little Tommy was birfed, the doctor said... "congratulations! you have a bouncing baby boy!" and Cotton Sr. said... "great! let's try it and see how high he'll bounce". And now you know the rest of the story.

No more or less bizarre than cable news citing politician/celebrity tweets and treating them as something worthy of attention and being reported. Yes, this is a very good indicator of exactly how far the Fourth Estate has fallen.

Got to be a Republican... checking on google.... Yup.

We can only hope his proud ignorance gets him in real trouble soon. Arkansas is like a grandma with pictures of an ugly baby you don't want to see.

It is difficult to be sure what Sen. Cotton and his BFFs really want. A war? Even Republicans outside the Beltway don't want a war. He seems not to realize that sending planes to attack Iran is not an "act of war". And any "war" will not be a "splendid little war".

F U Tom Cotton...What do you know...

The Iran-Iraq war was the longest declared war of the twentieth century. Perhaps as many as 1.5 million people died in it's eight years of sheer insanity. Everything from chemical weapons(American supplied ingredients) to WWI style human wave charges utilizing children were used. As a kid growing up here in the U.S, a year didn't go by that we didn't lose family in the goddamned stupid meat-grinder. It became normal practice for me to come home from school and see my Mother crying, once again, and again and again.

Tom Cotton, like most Americans, wouldn't know anything about that. Native Americans excluded, they haven't experienced war like that since 1865. To many Americans like him, going off to war is "cool" and "manly"...

In reality, it most surely isn't. Cotton is nothing but an over-privileged white boy brat who had the OPTION of going off on some racist colonial adventure in a broken third world nation(s) as a volunteering member of the most powerful and overwhelming military machine the world has ever known, fighting against hapless natives who half the time don't have two rocks to smash together.

Ho, hum, some tough guy he is...So I reiterate again. F U Tom Cotton.

Classic scene, and rather appropriate...In reality, a pencil neck coward like Cotton wouldn't have lasted a day in the trenches of the Iran-Iraq War, that I am certain of...He is all "bark" and no "bite".

The Iranians managed to actually create a form of government even more confusing than the U.S...You have to admit, that takes talent.
