It is about forcing women to stay with men who abuse them.

The cruelty is the point.

It is particularly targeted at families headed by single women.

The discourse about the Child Tax Credit in the 90s when it was signed by Clinton was really clear about this. The rhetoric opposing it included that it would "break up families". It was extended when the Earned Income Tax Credit was also passed into law, which still lifts families out of poverty. However, since EITC does not specifically and disproportionately help women it has been less subject to attack.

It is the goal of Republicans to kill as many Americans as possible. It will make their fascist takeover easier. They are nothing but a terrorist organization.

Those who can't afford children shouldn't have them.

I'm a Republican, and I'm into population growth as much as economic growth. So, in theory, child benefits like Canada has are alluring to me. However, they have to be done within guardrails against such handouts being used by bums. Bums, as in, people who don't work. So only households that pay taxes should get them. Otherwise, the whole thing would just help the underclass multiply at taxpayer expense and the country would slowly turn into Haiti.

Their parents can vote. Though if their parents are stupid enough to have children they can't afford, then they really shouldn't vote.

The Dems are just as psychopathic with their late-term abortion. I mean, I'm pro-choice (for the two first trimesters), but only because of its eugenic side effects; the women who resort to abortions tend to be stupid and the fathers deadbeats. But the Dems cheer abortion as some kind of women liberation thing, which is more messed up than anything else.

You have no clue whatsoever what late-term abortions are about. These are cases of wanted, often intensely wanted, children, cases where baby furniture has been bought and names chosen, until a horrific discovery is made about a development that dooms any chance of a living child, or a child that lives more than a few agonized hours, possibly threatening to kill the mother or render her incapable of having a child again. In these rare cases (there are very few compared to either first or second), the mother and doctor have tough decisions to make, in which the interference of pig-ignorant politicians is never helpful.

How many of the abortions are really because of that vs. ones that are just regular third-trimester abortions? Seven states + the District of Columbia allow just that. Most abortions do take place in the first two trimesters anyway, but those carried in the third are mostly women making the personal decision late in the pregnancy.

I did give this issue a lot of thought, which I summarized here: https://juliantryst.com/202...

There isn't such a thing as a "regular" third-trimester abortion. I don't know what you are imagining, but I expect you are eager to believe malicious slanders that would justify your intrusion into tragic situations that are none of your business.

Listen, all of the pro-life regulations make exceptions for when the life of the mother is endangered. I'd even add some for serious malformation of the fetus. So, if that's the worry, then there shouldn't be a problem with a ban on third-trimester abortions.

And of course it's the business of society to outlaw murder. Even the most libertarian of libertarians would agree to that.
