Off ya go, Meemaw! On a party-line vote Thursday night, Senate Republicans passed a budget blueprint that sets the stage for a real budget that will blow up the deficit and make huge cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. And under the weirdass rules of Senate procedure, it also allows the Senate to pass huge tax cuts for the wealthy through the budget reconciliation process, meaning the tax cuts won't be subject to a Democratic filibuster. Now that this bit of procedural fuckery is out of the way, Republicans can get to the important work of making the obscenely rich even richer while boning the elderly and poor, exactly as the Founders wanted. The measure passed 51 to 49, with only one Republican voting against it: Rand Paul, who still clings to the sentimental Republican doctrine that deficits are always bad, even when Republicans are in power. He's sort of cute that way, the .5 percent of the time when he's not being a complete dick.
For all you old people who voted for Trump--how the fuck did did you rationalize your vote when the stated goal of the Republicans was to "reform" entitlements and while you thought they intended to fuck poor people as well, the main target was cutting Social Security and Medicare. Oh, by the way, the ACA you hated so much, phased out the "Donut Hole" in Medicare prescription drug coverage that raised costs for people with expensive prescriptions
That's the thing too...in order for the monetary voodoo to work, the rate of money changing hands (whether in taxes or spending) must increase exponentially...
We're not likely to take the House (gerrymandering, voter ID, voter suppression, poor turnout for midterms), and we'd need a veto-proof majority to pass tax increases.
Ramen, I'm a former health care person (surgical assistant) as well. Where the fuck is their compassion? She must be one of those misguided Reagan fans.
The budget outline includes $1 trillion in cuts to Medicare over 10 years, and $500 billion in cuts to MedicaidSay. Base of Republicans? Remember that thing Trump would promise he would never cut?You have been had. You dumbshits.
Them thar aint numbers, just a bunch of silly letters them edumicated people always be usin'!

Short of war, that really doesn't happen.
Yes, we do. The three million more of us who voted for HRC certainly do.

Fuck this bitch with a massive number of votes, against her.

Unsaid (sotto voce)"So, how do we return to that condition?"

The thing Republicans love is war. So there is that.
90. If we get the house and the senate, I want us to start banking against future fuckery.
Once in 200 tries. Much worse than a broken clock.
And erectile dysfunction!
