“We must ensure that the pernicious trend of turning the Senate floor into a forum for advancing personal ambitions, for promoting political campaigns, or for enhancing fundraising activities comes to a stop,” he said."

Then here's the solution. You can no longer hold public office while running for a different position in public office. The moment you make your announcement to run for a position other than that which you already hold, you simultaneously resign from your current office. Non negotiable. If you lose, you don't get your old position back.

Really and truly, it would be much better for our system than what we have now. No more use of your office resources to run your campaign. No more of this shit where you effectively showboat at your current office when trying to gain attention for your campaign. And if the campaign season is going to be 18 months, how can you be expected to perform your duties while running? It should be impossible.

How is calling Mitch McConnell a liar impuning his character? Coming from Teddy boy, that seems more like admiration than anything else.

Well, consider that this dick, who is one of the biggest dicks in uhmerika, had to pay what is perhaps the most dickish organization in the nation - Liberty U. - to force their "students" to attend his campaign announcement. It's a carnival of dickishness. Dicks being dicks, even to other, bigger dicks, and to more and more and more other, lesser dicks. Dicks all the way down and all the way up.

Teddy has no time for decorum or protocol because him and his pal, Mike Lee, are too busy trying to bring freedom back to this country all by themselves.

Funny that Thom Tillis would chime in on this after his entire NC congresscritter career was pretty much him standing around calling people dicks.

Now that Cruz has insulted that tower of the Senate and conservative icon, Mitch McConnell, his comeuppance will be celebrated by Republicans from across the nation. They are, after all, a party that respects civility and decorum above all else.
