Ever since I've been an "adult" it's been a shitshow. Every single fucking time it feels like I'm finally getting somewhere- boom! *Something* happens and puts us in a worse spot. "The WORST X Crisis!" of our time has magically only happened once my generation got into adulthood - "Millenials killed X!" but non of this is just late stage capitalism, it's just my generation apparently doesn't like (can't fucking afford) the extra shit that was fine for generations before... I'm tired man, it sucks to be an American
Basically a clear grape brandy. Probably distilled 14 times in some sophomore's "fruit experiment" gone awry. Tastes like nothing, very sippable for 80 proof, and coats the throat like brandy. As a recovering COVID victim, I appreciate the throat coat.
When people want to glorify the Reagan years,—and there are plenty around—a good reminder is that mortgages reached double digits in the early 80’s and averaged over 9% for the decade.High as current rates are, they’ve got a ways to go to reach those mornings in America.
People don't seem to be hiring. There are a couple of places in my town where the workers have flat out told me they're not hiring, and my daughter has been looking for another job and the places she tries say they are only hiring for like 15 hours a week.
And yet the GOP is whining that people don't want to work? Who can fucking make it on 15 hours a week?
Lest we forget: my first (1979) was 10%, which turned out to be a good deal when rates went as high as 16 two years later. The next one was 5.5%, followed by 3.8 and my own current 2.9.Bad as changing and rising rates are, they don’t compare to the 80’s. Yet.
It needs to pull itself up by its own fucking boot straps.
More like No Man's Land https://www.amazon.com/Sear...
that is the playbook for 500 years
When does the monster truck make an appearance in this scenario?

It would really help if we could base our society on something other than filthy lucre and the accumulation of it.
