I am beginning to think that we should just take it as read that: 1) any elected official who is publicly professing "family values" is having an affair and it's only a matter of time before they'll get caught out.2) any elected official who publicly preaches about "personal responsibility" means "not them, personally".3) any elected official whose "sins" are dragged into the public eye will be very sorry (that they got caught) and believe that it is unfair that they have to resign because Jeebus has forgiven them and isn't that all that's important?
