Ok Evan, two things. One the title is technically King of the French when it wasn’t vacated by Charles X. Second, if you’re serious about this, then your going to be running headlong into 3 dynasties that are gonna tell you to go pound sand. The Bonaparte’s, yes they still live, the king of Spain is viewed as the Legitimatist claimant to the throne and there is the Orleanist claimants. Though maybe it is time to bring back some European monarchies. There is the legend about Emperor Frederick “Barbarossa” not having died in Syria but is simply sleeping within the Kyffhauser mountain and waiting for his people to need him again. So we could have that happen maybe.

You do know newly-elected President Obama was friendly with Asad, right? Of course that was before Asad embraced “the security option,” as the moderate military leaders who left and formed the Free Syria Army called was it. Such a disappointment, that Bashir.

Naturally, none of that excuses Gabbard’s behavior now.

King of the French was a post-revolutionary thingum. King of France is the historical, pre-19th century nationalism title.

Fuck all nationalists.

True.....but king of the French was what it was left as. Course I guess if it were tried then it could be done as the person pleases

I don't think the Bourbon and the Bonaparte would agree with that. Anyway, fuck nationalism. Make the guy Emperor of the World and be done with it.
