I just watched a video yesterday about a cult that Inside Edition did a piece about during the Bill O'Reilly years that has since evolved into Women For Trump. It wasn't a very good video, but I may try to verify some of the allegations sometime when I'm bored.
The worst thing about those cops in Mississippi is that no one was shocked to hear it. And not just in Southern states, as a later tab demonstrates. There is something seriously wrong with law enforcement these days and it starts with rogue cops and ends with other cops and city administrators covering it up. A lot of which involves the only union Republicans like, police unions, often led by the most violent police officers. Then we get to the courts and prosecutors who seem to side with cops in brutality and murder cases, along with qualified immunity that allows cops to engage in violence and claim there is no specific court case that says they cannot tase someone in the nuts if they want to. This needs to be addressed from top to bottom but as long as we have the GOP law and order brigade conjuring up a criminal hellhole if cops don't arrest everyone who spits on the street or loiters on a street corner it will never happen. That means the only solution is an informed electorate to get these leaders out, which the GOP is also fighting to prevent and seems to be in short supply anyway.
woke up this morning to "Masterson gets thirty to life" and it put a smile on my face.
not only did the victims get vindication and justice (and hopefully some closure) but, in some way as important, Scientology's time-honored bad faith tactics were dealt a major blow.
Please point out where I said that coal was a better option to nuclear or that it never hurt anyone. I don't think that, so it would be very surprising to me if I had said it.
J. Frank Parnell : Ever been to Utah? Ra-di-a-tion. Yes, indeed. You hear the most outrageous lies about it. Half-baked goggle-box do-gooders telling everybody it's bad for you. Pernicious nonsense. Everybody could stand a hundred chest X-rays a year. They ought to have them, too. When they canceled the project it almost did me in. One day my mind was full to bursting. The next day - nothing. Swept away. But I'll show them. I had a lobotomy in the end.
Otto : Lobotomy? Isn't that for loonies?
Parnell : Not at all. Friend of mine had one. Designer of the neutron bomb. You ever hear of the neutron bomb? Destroys people - leaves buildings standing. Fits in a suitcase. It's so small, no one knows it's there until - BLAMMO. Eyes melt, skin explodes, everybody dead. So immoral, working on the thing can drive you mad. That's what happened to this friend of mine. So he had a lobotomy. Now he's well again.
More nuclear beats the shit out of more coal. We are all dead in climate chaos if we go with more coal or natural gas. Solar and wind are better but China is choosing coal or nuclear. One kills us all as well as the mammals with which we share the planet. All the boars are dead.
Sorry nuke lee eeerrr scares you more than global climate chaos. Hope it does not kill us all.
I'd have to spend the 20 minutes to walk down to the beach every day to feed mine. But on the plus side, a radioactive shark might grow legs and be able to come to me. And you.
I grew up a few minutes walk from the beach. I did it every day. I swear I still have beach tar on my feet and I left the coast in the early 70s. One time I was given a live sand shark by some fishermen, and I brought it home and kept it alive for a few days in a too-small metal tank. Now I feel bad all over again.
I tune in to a local radio station for local news and weather in the morning. It's a cowtown, with a cowboy station and the expected slant. prior to the news, they run a syndicated "fox news minute" with our old pal Tammy Lungfish. This morning she was ranting about Bud Light. Really? Nothing new to get outraged about?

We watch a lot of Turkish TV series and I love it when random cats just walk through the scenes.

Nobody's business but the Turks.
I've recommended Kedi numerous times.
I have owned several Liberty safes and have found them good value and well made. If you need a safe, I recommend them.

I just finished re-watching that Netflix series about Three Mile Island. I am not interested in "more nuclear".
At the time of Three Mile Island, 50,000 coal mineers had been killed at work over the previous decades of the century.
Lung cancer and other deaths from carbon burning would be a larger number, no doubt.
Please point out where I said that coal was a better option to nuclear or that it never hurt anyone. I don't think that, so it would be very surprising to me if I had said it.

Re: sharks. This Guardian article is better because most of it is about the sharks, who are far more interesting than the people - https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/sep/07/cookiecutter-sharks-what-are-cairns-catamaran-attack

A cat makes a fine white board eraser.
30 years to life for rape sounds just about right.
30 years to life for rape sounds just about right.
This just in: Danny Masterson inked to star in "That '20's, '30's, and '40's-to-Life Show."
I can be a bore on a any subject, not just radiation. Also, I want a radioactive shark.
No fair, I can't have one inland!

Won't read the Seattle Times (1. paywall 2. it's awful). And King 5 also reported on the Bremerton Football coach and no mention of retaliation. But that he just wants to do other things, oh and he and his wife actually live in Florida now so he had to stay with a friend for that night: https://www.king5.com/amp/article/news/local/bremerton/praying-coach-joe-kennedy-resigns-bremerton/281-73b9e516-82fc-49f6-80c2-2d4fe14d6011
Report just released: GA Grand Jury also recommended charges against Senator Lindsey Graham but the DA has not indicted him (yet).
THAT's great news!!!!

Perdue and Loeffler too? Be still my heart!
And Mike Flynn!!! Please oh please oh please. That M'f'r right there needs prison.
Yes, it was only a matter of time for Flim-Flan Flynn.

They've ranted about Bud Light, Target, the FBI and police unions. It doesn't sound like MAGA likes America anymore. It almost seems UN-American.
